I’ve been bummed about Chipper and Mays (not so much the other $1 mill guys) are locked behind such a long wait list. But I felt the need to say kudos for the way SDS handled content and stubs this year. I think it’s really cool that you can basically afford any card in the game if you really want it.

Locked behind the wait list is a different story, but they made it so there’s enough stubs to afford any card and I think that’s really cool. I could have got Mays or Chipper if I acted quick enough. That’s my own fault. Not an issue of stubs, which is a good thing, in my opinion. And this without me doing any investing, haven’t flipped at all since probably May and never bought extra stubs.

Couldn’t agree more. Never seen so much excitement for the game into November. They really knocked things out of the park... except dropping Griffey in November 🙂 haha

Despite how any of us feel about this year’s gameplay though, SDS has me hook, line, and sinker. Couldn’t be more excited for MLBTS 21 and the potential in this new gen.

Content as you use the term is a distraction for the gameplay this year.

LOL Yes Sir. I was so bright my mother called me sun. Not saying all the shiny cards aren't great but I think they are a distraction.

If the gameplay were even 33% as good as the content, this game would be so good.

Unfortunately, it is not. They really can’t seem to figure out hitting, so the game is controlled by bad pitching.

Think of it: in all the most challenging vs cpu modes, the player is really penalized for being aggressive at the plate. You just aren’t going to see many good pitches to hit.

Online, it is even worse. Some opponents will practically never throw a pitch in the zone, so it is a question of waiting for mistakes.

I’m convinced this is because more pitches in the zone would result in even more home runs.
