Anyone using Finest Mookie?

I've been running Mookie at 2nd. Probably the best defensive 2nd baseman in the game or at least after months of using hornsby the upgrade is so noticeable it feels that Mookie is. Bat is finally starting to come around for me since I had a bit of an adjustment for his height and the fact I'm generally only good at hitting into double plays lately
Not gonna lie, I usually struggle with shorter players but I’ve started coming around in the event with JRam including a 5 for 5 game lately. Mookie’s already locked up so it’s not a do or die situation. Was just wondering for those who’ve tried him, if they liked him

Bro just play him there's nothing crazy to think about its a good card.

Yeah I know man!!! Just wondering what my next move is since I probably won’t be able to play for a few days

I’m tempted to try him out at 2B. The fact that almost all finest pitcher cards are righty and he has insane attributes vs righties makes me wanna do it. His splits are awful but I have a feeling I’ll very rarely see a lefty on the mound. Could platoon him with Mondesi
But would you really bench Seager for him though?
No speed, no arm, shift against him. I would try Mookie out. Nothing is set in stone
Everything you just said is true...It just seems like I hit 2 homers every game with him though. For me personally that trumps all the shortcomings. But hey, This game is all about who you personally gel with. Myself, I couldn’t get a hit with Trout to save my life. So if Mookie gets it done for you then hell yeah man - Roll with Mookie. Best of luck.

Thanks brother. I haven’t been doing so well with Seager so far but I still haven’t reached what I typically give myself for ABs before judging a player. I’ll rotate some guys in and out and figure it out. My best 2B so far is Hornsby

Is Betts at 2B better than 99 Biggio??

Haven't used Alomar but prestige Biggio feels a bit smoother than Mookie but he's still a major upgrade over basically anyone else.

Defensively its close, offensively I prefer Betts.

He’s my lead off bat , with 60 ABs he’s hitting .424
At first I didn’t like his height but his swing is so good the ball bounces off his bat. Lots of perfect perfects
-
Mookies live quirks are very good actually. Hes got like 6 of them that are actually active.
I'm not talking about descriptive ones like sniper, cannon, or hitting machine that are based off the card stats, but ones like fastball and breaking ball hitter, as well as runners in scoring position under two outs - stuff that will actually make your PCI bigger.
Mollie has like 8 of these from what I recall. The older legend guys like Hornsby rarely do besides pressure cooker.
-
I use him in RF and through two games, his defense wasn't really tested but he does have a cannon. I loved his live series card at 2nd and his swing is great for me. 2 perfect perfects in my first game (1B, HR)
-
Been using him at second. Have 5 Homer's with him in 7 games
-
Yeah he’s a god against rhp and o start him, I just take him out if there’s a lefty

Umm yes, it’s not even close, and I like Biggio, I have him on my bench.
-
I'm using him at 2B. He's been pretty good, I love those reverse splits and his defense and the active quirks push him over the top imo.
-
I might use him after reading your reviews, Seager is just too slow to be there.
-
So I finished the conquest map and sold off all the rewards and was able to pick him up! So far so good, the ball definitely jumps off his bat!
-
I love Mookie's swing for some reason. Defense is great and he feels faster than his speed indicates. Problem is he is really hard to fit in the mix. Betts, Tatis, Seager, Wagner, joram, mondesi and Machado for three spots on the IF. No way he plays over Soto, Mantle, Trout or Griffey in the OF unless you sub him in for defense.
