Dodgers Steve Sax is all I could ever ask for....No one would use him but me, but it would be the dream.
I lie, for pitching I would love Pedro, Fernando, or Koufax.
I so would use Sax and or Davey Lopes

Did I forget your favorite player? Did I list someone already in the game? Am I a l[censored] moron? Leave your input below. Looking forward to your suggestions and comments.
J.R. Richard, one of the bigger what if's and it would be really cool to see SDS maybe do a couple guys a year to highlight some of them who would have been household names had there careers not been cut tragically short. I think baseball and its fans embrace the games history and former players in a way no oter sport does. I love talking to my son about many of the Legends and passing on the stories my father told me as a kid about guys like Gibson, Koufax, Mantle, Clemente etc.
Clemente and Richard would actually be a pretty good couple guys to start with. Nice list and Stieb was fealty he reallly had some crazy movement
Thurman Munson

Cubs need Lee and Ramirez
Gabby Hartnett, specifically his 1930 season. We need more options at catcher.
Hartnett would be great. He would have to have the night owl (or whatever it’s called) perk.

Thurmon Munson isn’t a “what if,” he’s a “what was.” Already a Great when he tragically passed away. He should be in the Hall of Fame and he should be in this game.

Puckett is a tough one with all of his off the field issues that came to light after his playing career. He was a great player though.

I thought about this when I made the list, but if they can put Ty Cobb in the game with his off field issues (which were considered bad for HIS time, read the contemporary accounts) they can put Kirby Puckett in. Plus he was my mothers favorite player so he kind of had to go in

And you can’t put Canseco in without McGwire (though you could put McGwire in without Canseco). Jose’s identity was 80% Bash Brothers, 20% beanball home run and 100% roid rage.

I have read that lot of Puckett licensing issues are due to his family and estate.

Licensing is probably the reason why most of the players on my list aren’t in the game. But as a long time fan of players like Reggie Stocker and QB Eagles, there are ways around it. Should we start looking forward to a Herbie Bucket signature series?
