Do not Spam R2 to discombobulate the pitcher and making throw down the middle.

Don’t sleep with your opponent’s girlfriend, sister, or any ex-girlfriend. Always ask first on step-sisters because the internet tells me a lot of step siblings have special arrangements.
If you weren’t here to lighten up these forums they would be a sad and dark place. Cheers to too many beers tonight and Schnauzer

If it was a key home run or you hit a bomb and want to watch it, fine. But, for the love of god, we don't need to watch every homer.
Stop abusing the pause timer...I hate consistently having to wait a minute or two every inning.
I don't understand why people dashboard. I have rage quit before but I just wait for the home run to land then hit the start button and quit out of the game.
-
Unwritten rules are un-enforceable rules; if you insist on them being enforced, you're merely creating YOUR "unwritten rule"... which won't be followed either.

I will not throw you a high sinker unless you start spamming them. See it more in events and nothing but eye rolling when your very first pitch to me is a high inside sinker. That’s when I warm up my two primary sinker relievers and you will get the same treatment.
I get it can be an accident once in awhile but when it’s the first pitch of the game then two more follow it’s not. That being said usually the players that resort to pitching this way are not that great and it’s mostly an easy W.

Forgive me if I took your response the wrong way but are you saying you think players that spam high sinkers are usually good players?

I played an event game last night, was down 3-0 in the bottom of the 2nd. My opponent had SS Kenley on the mound, I had regular Veteran Hanley at the plate. Got a pitch and hit a no doubt bomb, or it would have been but my opponent dashboarded.
I'll gladly take the win, but why dashboard in a game you are winning 3-1? Did my opponent not want me to get prestige stats with Hanley? Were they trying to keep Jansen's ERA low? I just don't get it. But again, happy to take the W!

I’m sorry but if I’m pitching with Hershiser, I’m supposed to just eliminate a whole third of the zone because he doesn’t have a 4seam?

I honestly never knew that it was taboo to throw high sinkers. Can you help me understand why? Second question, what would be my go-to for high strikes if my pitcher doesn’t have a 4-seam fastball and so I need to use my sinker for high heat (i.e. Orel, Burnes, etc)?

The reasoning is based in reality. In real baseball a Sinker high in the zone usually stays flat and gets pummeled. The physics of a high Sinker don't work

Sinkers are broken. Everyone knows that. But I don’t think it’s an unwritten rule not to throw them high. They’re unrealistically difficult to hit, but they’re still hittable

High sinkers in this game are not accurate at all. They come out looking just like a breaking ball then zoom right past you faster than a 102 mph FB and or the timing window feels shorter. This isn’t new guys? Last year many many posts (and this year) about sinkers being unrealistic, borderline cheese, and the running joke is how many complaints were about them in 19 so SDS’ response is to give everyone a sinker. I’m surprised position players don’t have them.
Look you want to throw em high throw em. Once people catch on the usually get demolished or stop it. It’s more so in 3 inning games as each run is more critical in a short game. My experience is those who constantly throw them high also can’t hit them high. Ever wonder why your primary FB is not near as effective as your sinker that is your 5th pitch? It’s because it’s unrealistic.

I’m talking about me personally when I play. That’s my rule, I’m not insinuating everyone needs to follow it. I feel they are cheesy and therefore I don’t throw them up in the zone unless my opponent starts spamming them.
“They’re unrealistically difficult to hit, but they’re still hittable.”
Bunt cheese was unrealistic but you could still combat it and same went for base running cheese. I just wish SDS would have done more to fix them like they did bunting and base running but instead they just added more pitchers with sinkers.

Some of us are playing this video game like its real life to much. Others just play the video game. Eff unwritten rules its not gonna stop the guy down by 7 from replaying his 2 home runs. Lol

No dashboarding and we can only watch absolute bombs (mine or his).
Or big strikeouts

If somebody watches their homerun replay we both are watching every homerun replay for the rest of the game. Mine and thiers it makes no difference I’m slapping L2
Really took this to heart my last game.
He hit me with the L2 early after a pitch hung. I then proceeded to hit him back with the L2 five more times.
Credit to him for not quitting.
-
I'm admittingly a bit rusty on all my unwritten rules, could someone write them all down in a rulebook so I can reference them?

That’s weird, but I’ve had it happen too. Maybe the guy got butthurt you smacked his favorite closer. I see hader well and early on in the game I’d slap him around and several quit even when I was losing
