WOW. That is INSANE! Did people think he was going diamond?

First week or so it’s not uncommon for high golds to be around 10k. There just isn’t a lot out there at first.
-
304k for LS Trout. I Paid 29950 for Lindor in May. Yeah, I paid a premium for lots of LS diamonds early on.
-
It wasn’t March, but shortly after the Headliner pack came out I paid approximately 70k for AS Miggy Cabrera because I needed him for a league I was in.
I’m not even in that league anymore so it hurts a little worse. Haha
-
Don't remember when but I must have flipped 84 Boggs 50 times when it was around 3000. Going for 30,000 now

everyone who bought Belli when he was a 90+ diamond hates this thread
You could say the same for Scherzer and Arenado too but it really depends when they were bought. If it was right before the drop I understand but paying an extra 100k each for those 3 for 4 more months of Mantle/Sheffield is worth it IMO
-
I don't see any with a quick scan, but I did pull and sell two Acuna's for 59K each on the 13th of March.
-
The first diamond I pulled I sold right away Acuna on March 28th for like 48k and used those funds to flip commons and bronzes for a few days and used that to buy Springer 11k and Altuve 12k (overprice now) and I also bought Verlander 41k (heck of a bargain then and now). I finished up the Astros for Ryan (crappy card) but kept flipping till I bought everyone and got Mantle. I paid 150k for Cole and 130k for Bellinger also paid 100k for Arenado and 68 for Degrom and 100k or so for strasburg LS. I paid 220k for Trout and was a bargain at the time. I used those cards to win games and got quite a few WS award cards and Event cards and several 12-1, 12-0 event diamonds so they paid for themselves during the game cycle. I own every card that can be bought on the market and still have millions of stubs left over. The key is to never buy packs rather flip cards and buy the ones you want. Always have stubs to invest to build up your capital. Take advantage of people who buy packs during flash sales and tank the market. That is when you buy then sell once demand goes back up. Likewise sell when demand is high and buy when demand is low. Pretty easy if you are patient.

Go back to your very first few pages of completed orders. What is one purchase that stands out as egregiously bad?
I'll go first.
Ketel Marte Bought for 30,008 3/17/2020 7:49PM PDT
Why do you do hurtful things schnauz?
-
I just went through 52 pages of completed orders that went from 3/12-4/2 and i only had 1 completed order for a card over 1,000 stubs and that was Kluber for 3,200. I feel like I wasted a lot of time to find nothing interesting lol

I have a few.
Overpaid:
Pete Alonso: 16,995 4/5/2020 4:26PM CDTWhere I sold for too little:
Shane Bieber Sold for 2,015 4/12/2020 5:53PM CDT
Adam Dunn Sold for 3,722 5/9/2020 3:09PM CDTSold for too much, which is good: J.D. Martinez Sold for 2,870 4/27/2020 5:21PM CDT
Jack Flaherty Sold for 19,560 5/9/2020 3:42PM CDTI might've bought that Flaherty
Wait, are you serious? Look at the time stamp. That would be really funny! I mean, I am sure that if everyone showed their completed orders, we have sold to each other quite often.
IDEA: What if, when you sold or bought something, it would say: "Mike Trout was bought from @Ikasnu for 4958302 stubs. (Then the timestamp)"
Same idea for selling something, say who bought it. That would be fun to see if we know who we are buying/selling from. Thoughts?i bought my Flaherty on the same day but at a different time and slighty different price. I spent 17k
-
Charlie Morton for 12.600 .He was diamond back then.
-
Gerrit Cole 112k
-
Sold 12-0 Donaldson for 500k. Annnnd bought 800 packs with the stubs I had afterwards

This was one of my cards that I was doing as well. Crazy to think of how some of those cards went up so fast when Trout came out.

Wrong post

Oooohhhh - I have many. Keep in mind, I started off March/April as strictly a RTTS player, and used "Buy Now" and "Sell Now" orders for EVERYTHING. Any time I got a card, I'd sell it immediately. These ones stand out:
Legendary Call bought for 34,999 (current 4,745)
Mizuno B-130 batting glove bought for 15,800 (current 2,944)
Brian Roberts All-Star quick sold for 1,901. (current 30,000... and hard to buy)
Francisco Lindor - bought for 25,620
J-Ram LS - bought for 12,530
Flaherty - bought 17,648
Joe Torre - quick sold for 58,000 (currently 93,000)
Yellich - bought for 30,000I could go on and on and on.... however, I smartened up, learned how to work the market, and got Mantle and Trout without spending real money on stubs.
