Does anybody use the 99 Jackie Robinson?
-
What has been your experience with him?
-
I dont use him anymore but when I did he was a great leadoff hitter. Good speed and contact with enough power to hit leadoff HRs
-
He wasnt bad when I used him, just severely outdated by now and you can argue was already shadowed anyway when released since Biggio's been around from the start.
-
I love him. He's on my bench for contact situations, speed situations, and late inning defensive replacement at 3rd. Hits his fair share of bombs too.
-
I had him playing 1st until Babe came out, then I moved him to second until recently. He is great at both spots. Bat him leadoff and he's an absolute terror on the base path. Hits for way more power than his numbers suggest too.
-
I love this card. This is the first year I have used any of his cards and he has been fantastic for me. Probably close to 1000 abs and still batting over 400. Surprising power too especially for me against lefties. I will probably platoon him hen Morgan comes out.

Thanks guys...I was playing Tatis at 2nd & loving him - Until I reached HOF difficulty on RS and now I can’t hit a lick with him. I’m at 808 and looking for a 2nd basemen with better vision and think Jackie looks like the guy.
-
Been awesome for me in the event going on right now (HOF)
-
I'm hitting 250 with him. With 300 at bats. He's been let go

Same. Used to be my lead off hitter.

He's really good, versatile, fast, great contac, decent power.. But were at the point in the gamenow where there are so many options and you really need each player to perform certain tasks. Jackie is a card that does a lot of things really well.
95 speed with 90 steal is second tier now.
80-79 power is low end for a starter now.98 Mondesi for example is 99 99 speed and steal going 125/125 against lefties and has 99 bunting to go along with the stealing AND is a switch hitter so he's going to be bunting most often a few steps closer to 1st. And his fielding numbers are better than Robinsons.
Toward the beginnning and middle of the game Robinson was a staple on my team, he just did so many things well. He's still a great card, but there are better options at every spot. I could make a case for him being a solid bench player but again with guys like Cobb and Wagner, there are better options there too.

Likewise. He's the one who made my CAP retire a couple months back.

I can’t take him out of my God Squad. He has the highest OBP and I always guy back to him at leadoff. His vision, sneaky power, and speed are just awesome. I’ve tried to replace him with Cobb, Mondesi and JRoll and always come crawling back.
-
One of my best hitters by far. He's a mainstay in the lineup.
-
I used him most of the year and he’s a bench bat now because he has speed, can bunt, and can play several positions.
-
I struggled with him at first. Now he's a beast in my lineup .
-
I hit him second. Between 2019 & 2020 he probably has twice the at bats of any other end game player for me!
-
He’s on my bench for pinch running purposes only. If he needs to hit he’s my 5th and last bench guy to hit
-
I loved his card last year and I love his card again this year. He is my starting second baseman and occasionally moves to first if I want diamond fielding at 2nd (Mookie)
-
Since I got him, 99 Jackie is my starting 2B, can use him for a speedy 1B as well! He’s clutch, hits for power... great card
