Is MVP Trout a top 5 OF option?

I was looking at the Trout collection last night, didn't realize I was fairly close to getting him. Hit 300 stars last night so I sold Kenley, he looks great but I like my pen. Was able to get Trout, something I didn't think would happen.
Now that he has been out a bit, how have you all done with him? Right now I'm playing Trout in CF, Walker in RF and Cobb in LF. Does that make the most sense?

Yes, most definitely. Trout and Mantle are always in for me, than I usually fill it out with Ted Williams, Prestige Walker, or Cobb

Trout it the top outfield option at the moment.

He is the best card in the game, so yes.

Thanks for the info, good to know. I don't think I've ever used a Trout card, so I was curious how he played. I guess in a way Trout was my 9th inning boss, so that should be alright.

Trout is top 3 for sure. Me personally, I hit better with Awards Blackmon than anyone. Haven’t used Ted yet. But Chuck is not as good in the field.

Top 5 outfielders at this point are probably
Trout
Mantle
Ted Williams
Cobb/Edmonds
Walker -
There aren't many cards that just seem to be universally feared in this year's game, but I'd say the 99 Trout is definitely one of them.
IMO, it's between the 99 Trout, Mickey Mantle, and FOTF Jim Thome for the best overall hitter in the game.

I use Ted in LF, Trout in CF, and Mantle in RF. I am not doing great with Mantle and have had more success with Harper, Yelich and Edmonds so I rotate in and out at RF but TED and TROUT dont move

Thanks for the info everyone, really glad I got Trout. The stubs were close, but luckily it worked out. This takes the sting of BR Chipper off a bit.

I am a below average hitter and I prestiged him quickly with 54 homers and a .320 average.

J-Ram and Mondesi should finish up taking away the sting completely.

I can’t see paying 400k for Ted when Edmonds is free and overall Probly a better card.

Yes. I don’t really like modern players in my end game team, nor old timers, as I’m sure everyone is sick of hearing me say by now. I also can never hit with Trout usually. His LS, His immortal in ‘18, his SS card last year - All really bad stats with. This years 99 Trout? Awesome. Tears the cover off the ball for me and has a fast swing, defense is good etc.
I only kept him around to finish his prestige program for the packs and something to do, but I can’t lie, I am definitely going to miss him when 99 Griffey drops. He’s been surprisingly good this year.

Trout and mantle are the top 2. There’s argument over whether #3 should be walker or Cobb. I’m using 99 Yelich as my 3rd OF and I’m happy with results. Full disclosure, I’m waiting for Griffey
