Why is everything identical to last year except the vision? 10 lower? Did Chipper strike out more since last year? Please fix the typo.

I'm actually starting to move back into the opinion that vision does matter. I strikeout significantly more with Tatis (80 vision, 23% strikeout rate), and Trout (86 vision, 21.6% strikeout rate) then a guy like Mickey Mantle (94 vision, 15.6% strikeout rate).

So in general, with a guy like Chipper having 102 and 112 vision may not matter all that much, but there is a point where it does start to affect the card.

Yeah for like 2/3rds of the game life it felt as though Vision didn't matter......for the last couple of months with the pitches being juiced though I've feeling the difference now

Literally doesn't matter and every SS for the exception of I think Hanley has been a carbon copy aside from vision. And if you're fielding teams based on vision you aren't doing it right.

Vision is calculated differently this year. They mentioned it in pre-release streams but they didn't release their formula so to speak.

There are a lot fewer guys with 110+ vision this year though

    In HoF+, it matters.

I seem to recall SDS saying it affects the timing window as well. Not 100%, though.

For Signature Series cards, vision is not calculated the same as it was last year.

Just curious, why just for signature series cards? Also, thanks for the reply!

For balance. Each year we reevaluate and balance attributes a bit differently for each series, if necessary.

Does vision affect the timing window?

Essentially yes. It allows for an elite hitter to make contact with worse timing then say an average hitter with that same timing.

That's very interesting and also the first time I heard this from an actual SDS source. Thank you for this, we could use more communication like this about attributes that raise questions or gameplay mechanics that are somewhat vague, like the exact numbers behind pitcher's confidence.

I just re-arranged my lineup with all 125 Vision players. WS, here I come!

Wait... let's see if I can get past 700 first.

Seriously, though, thank you @SDS for the reply.
