Don’t give up. I started so slow with him and I wanted him to be good. His attributes are ridiculous, defense and speed are great and I just struggled so much to get it going. Figured I’d breeze through getting him prestiged and it took me days to score the last 5-6 runs I needed with him because I could barely get on base. Ended up just batting .218 with him in 202 AB! I said if I could just get the Prestige version maybe things would turn around.

Finally get him and start 0/11 with him! I’m about to pull the plug and just chalk it up to his swing not working for me, then he gets a hit... And another...and another. Now he’s one of my absolute best/favorite cards. Started 0/11, have gone 28/61(.459) since with 8 HR. Brought his Avg up to .389 now which is very good for me (.260 RS hitter).

It’s amazing how you can hit with a card when you have confidence going into an AB. Just like real players I feel like we can press with certain cards or in certain situations and you defeat yourself. Just staying patient and being confident that you can hit with a card can really completely change your outcomes with certain guys. I don’t see me taking him out at any point.

yeah, I actually struggled with him and Trout. They are very similar I feel. They have since come around nicely as I've gotten used to their tendencies. Some guys are just automatic for me, like Mantle, Walker, and Musial. But others, Schmidt being the one that came to mind 1st had a long break in process before ending up being amazing.

Exactly. I tend to get in the mind set with a new card that has great hitting attributes that they can do no wrong, then find myself swinging at junk pitches I would never ever swing at and blame the card instead of myself for being over aggressive with him at the plate. Sometimes it takes a while for a card to click with you. Someone once told me they give a card 100-200 AB or 200 Innings for SP before giving him a 👍 or 👎.

    Thanks 4 this.
This was me with Posey. I persevered, and now I built a shrine for him 😄
I do have Tatis on my bench for PR and late D.
What I do is go to BP with him and Trouty to get their swings sort of down.

I started off 6-42 with Tatis (my first AB was a HR). I benched him, but put him back in when I realized it would be easy to Prestige him ("easy" being a relative term with the way that I hit in RS). Since then, I've gone 8-20 with 3 HRs. So... maybe...

This but with Trout , it was so bad BUT only dew to my expectations being so high. I've started him back and despite him still being under 300 it's going up fast now. Same thing happened with Cobb , I was hitting above 400 with his other card so expectation was again high and ended up selling. I just recently bought him back and things are back to normal.

My tatis started 10-11 his first few PA. Then went on to average over .350 for like 50 games then i got in a slump with him idk why now I’m currently .278 with him. I love his swing I don’t blame the player . I know it’s me playing badly

I actually came out of the gate like a bat out of hell with him. First game was a cpu game against the cubs hit 3 absolute bombs with him. I have coold down alot but he is still a great player on the team and gives me the power of banks and the defense of J-Roll

i felt this with larry walker, his swing was eh to me at first. When i submitted him to prestige, i dont know why, but he just worked. He is my absolute favorite card i have.
