Why does your season home run count reset after you reach 250? That totally screws up your race for the triple crown. Doesn't seem right or fair does it.
Wow! 250?
-
I get it. It's fun just to go bash for a bit, but wow you're right. 250 is an awful lot.

Is it 255? I’d guess it’s because the data type used (byte) Can only handle numbers 0-255. It would have been chosen because it was unlikely to go above that. Clearly you’ve proven them wrong.

Yes it happened at 255 so that explains it yet my other numbers go above 255 like hit, runs, RBIs

Ootp had those issues in the early stages of their game because no one really would get that many. I'm guessing that mlb is the same. Out of curiosity, how exactly do you have 256 homeruns for? The team or just a player?

It would be an individual player. The field containing team HRs would be a more suitable data type.

I’d recommend logging it as a bug report, if anything to impress the devs that you got that many HRs in a season with one player.
Probably won’t be fixed as it is more likely to break more than it fixes but worth a shot if the database and/or code is rebuilt. It’s one of them or both that is the reason it happened.

250??? What difficulty are you playing on? I hit 63 with my RTTS player on HOF in 19' and even then I felt guilty. I felt like my dude was on roids.
I'm not trying to throw shade, but don't you get bored after mindlessly crushing the CPU and hitting 4 homeruns every game?

I actually have games without any hits. If i have a really good game where i get 5 or 6 hits then i usually go hitless the next 2 or 3 games which gets frustrating
-
Similar experience here. I find that the more confident I get after multiple hits, the earlier in the count I will swing, which means I’m doing the complete opposite to what got me on a roll in the first place.

Not really it’s not like I play for an overpowering team I play for the tigers I have time where I hit 4 or even 5 home runs and I still lose by 3 so it dosent get boring stat padding plus I play on dynamic difficulty
