Man, I have started off 3-3 multiple times and than one at bat I flub and another they give me nothing to hit.....only moment giving me a challenge, somehow got Yelich done on first try , but this one blows

Like you I knocked out Yelich quick. The starting pitcher in the Gehrig mission is the easiest to take deep, like you, I hit 3 in a row a number of times then didn't get anything decent to hit after that. Finally I hit a line drive to the right fielder that he flubbed and I made it to 2nd and it counted, that's how I completed it.

I'd say the best bet is to get 3 against the starter and then hope for the best, sit high and inside, Gehrig destroys inside pitches.

I'm really looking forward to getting Gehrig btw, loved his swing. I'll have Ruth and Thomas coming off the bench I think. Now that I have these 2 missions done it's just a time thing. At least with conquest I can sub in different guys to try them out on my squad against HOF or Legend so it's good practice, and I'm 1/3 through the Showdown and it doesn't seem so bad.

The worst part of the Gehrig and potentially Yelich missions is not getting anything to hit. I'd estimate that really, only 1 out of 5 of these starts are actually winnable, 4 out of 5 you've lost before you start as you just won't get enough good pitches to hit.

That’s it, 80% of the time you don’t have a real chance in that moment.....

The other moments have been pretty easy for me. Beat Rivera second or third time, beat Pearson first try, got the strike outs with no homer win second try ( and luckily that homer was in second inning so easy non rage start over ). I don’t expect the Legend win will be bad, so once I get the 4 XBH, pretty much done as Showdown complete and Conquest 80% done.

I got Yelich done in 2 tries. I've stopped counting the Gehrig moment...

The key is to be early. But not very early. Perfect perfects got me line outs to deep center. Use Shibes short porch in RF. Sit middle to low middle

Yep. Be early and bounce it off that wall.

The first pitcher you face in that mission is easy to hit. The next 2 are a little tougher and Trevino was the hardest to me.
I sat middle up, stay away from the low stuff especially with runners on, unless your sure you can get lift on ball. Don't take walks, swing to foul off bad pitches on 3-0 counts.

I’m stuck on this right now. My two gripes other than the terrible pitches are how easy it seems to pop up when I can clearly see pci coverage around the entire ball. It’s basically exactly where SDS said to have your pci with power hitters but there I am with a good/pop up.

Second and I will admit it’s tick tack but I’ve hit SO MANY singles up the middle or borderline liners in the gap that are singles and the CF will throw a perfect strike to 2b every time. Not once can you get lucky with an inaccurate throw to second. Yet my diamond fielders with better accuracy will misfire a good amount when a guy is pushing for two. Hmmm

The only time ive ever seen fielding urgency in this game is specifically in this Gehrig moment. The outfielders sure do seem like they are all aware you need extra base hits.....yet in regular games they are just there to collect their paycheck.

Do anybody have any tips how to beat this challenge. I try at least 50 times and still can’t complete it. I came close a few times within 1 extra basehit

Last year a Middle low offspeed pitch was almost a guarantee no doubter. I would say almost all of my HR with him came by this.

Bro Laurino in CF is a diamond fielder out there. This fool snatches the ball and launches it to 2nd in .1 seconds every single time.....

Ok. Tried this just now for the first time and did it lol. Only one thing. I GOT 7 AB TO DO IT!!! My team put up like 22 runs, and after failing in the 8th to get it I got another AB in the 9th to get it done.

Just had the ultimate fail. Got six abs in the game. Three hr in first three at bats. Then two perfect perfect lineouts. Last at bat hit a line drive to left center gap. Center fielder cuts it off but I have a good chance of stretching it to get the double. Off course I’m batting with a guy on first and apparently he decides to wait to make sure it drops and then stops on second. Game over.

I strictly played this yesterday and have seen it all and still have not accomplished it. I had 4 yes 4 perfect fly balls caught at the track (throughout the night) and three were with a power swing!! Like you I had 3 hr and I hit a gapper that the RF dove and off his glove. Easy double if the pitcher wasn’t at 1st. Again with 3 hr in the 9th runners on 1 and 2 I hit a screamer off the wall that the CF leaped for and missed but again the runners only moved 90ft. Then the hardest one to stomach by FAR. I actually hit 3 perfect homers in a row but the rest of the team magically now sucked and we only had 4 runs meaning I scored all the runs that game and will only get 4abs. I was in the zone had three homers it’s the 9th team is losing and I got HIT BY A PITCH!!!!

This all happened yesterday, so yeah I feel ya man.

Just to reiterate Fiers has 41 hr/9 and the reliever usually after him Smith has 50 while Lou has 125 contact and 119 power yet he hits warning track shots for days.
