I have to say that this was the only time there was such a big gap between ranked teams being matched up, but still.

The game was actually tied 1-1 after 4 innings, and then he dashboarded after I went up 5-1 in the 7th. I got 9 points for the win. Thank goodness it wasn't one of those fluke losses we've all experienced at times. I can't imagine how many points I would've lost had he won.

I actually prefer playing teams ranked higher than me, and was shocked when the Game Summary page appeared showing his 447 ranking. How is this even possible? He was probably thinking the same thing lol.

Yeah, letting that bar go can do this. Doesnt mean the match up will be anymore easy on All Star though.

Gratz that you won, but imagine how the other guy must been feeling. I float around 500. If I matched up against you ..... yeah, not fun times ( hitting wise ).

Pitching is different. A lot of players can’t hit well at all ( me included ) but can pitch well. My ERA I think is around 1.1 in all star. Now if only I could hit past .200 average.

Your matchmaking window was probably pretty large when you were originally searching for a game. The faster your matchmaking window Finds an opponent the closer the the opponent is to your rank. Unfortunately once you hit the 700’s your matchmaking windows will start becoming larger because most people purposefully stop prior to 700 to avoid HOF difficulty. And the quality of your opponent usually suffers because of this.

Lol yeah. Im at best a 600 player...i can tell after 2-3 innings if i am playing a 700+ player. Just on another level hitting wise

I usually stop the bar when it gets to +/- 100 of where I am. So if I am at 660, I stop it around 560 for the low and 760 for the high

Oh yeah, definitely can tell in events if i am pitching against a WS player. My usual lazy pitching in events does not work against them. I have to start looking at their timing and sound of the contact and adjust my pitching.
I have found that a change up is a must on my pitchers now.

I do remember playing a game at some point this year I was in the 800s and my opponent was in the low 500s. Felt bad he quit after 3 straight HRs in the 1st

Hold the left stick towards the left. Push it right to speed the bar up and widen the range. Only works in RS though.

Good luck with that WS push. I’m at 742 I think. Haven’t made it yet, going to try and go for it this season.

Rating mod has been turned off for the past 2 years, so your rating mod does not affect the matchmaking window anymore. All your rating mod does now is indicate to you how much of an improvement your team is to a normal LS squad (rating mod 0). Mine currently sits at 263.
