Cobb or Walker??

I'm almost at 300 program stars, I should be there this afternoon. I'll be picking Cobb. I used him in the showdown and I loved his card. However, I see alot of people say Walker is endgame. Should I sell Cobb for Walker or just keep Cobb?? Right now my OF is Ruth/Cobb(soon)/and Harper(I locked him in for Trout collection I'm a diehard Phillies fan). Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

I would use Cobb based on the rest of your outfield.

If you’re running that OF, I’d be taking Walker I think. Only Harper would have a significant arm and he would have to be in right. That leaves CF and LF with weak arms

Remember will be getting an endgame Griffey JR card too. I really think you can’t go wrong tbh. Cobb’s 125 contact with good power and vision will be great in higher ranked levels. Walkers bat is great and so is his defense. Take into account if you get Cobb on base a single is as good as a double with that speed and it will also cause your opponent to make more mistakes by slide stepping and pitching out.

I have Walker benched right now to try out Cobb. I already have Walker Prestiged so I'm just giving Cobb a test run and worst case he becomes my 4th OF/Pinch runner. I like his swing a lot just wish he had diamond shield in left with prestige.

My outfield is trout, Cobb and mantle. Cobb’s first game2-3 with two bombs. He is the better all around player over walker.

I'll be taking Cobb. I can't get anything offensively out of Walker. Then again, I can't figure out how to hit HR with anyone in this game, so contact players are better for me.

Cobb is endgame. Walker can be too.
Question is: How big of a deal is Walkers 20+more arm strength or so?
Not that much in my opinion. Cobb has 73? Plenty enough to get the job done. Seriously, how often does arm strength come into play each game at key moments? Rarely. Even on plays to the plate its usually not enough of a factor to throw out someone with enough speed. Think about that.
Walker has more power to some extent, but that maxed contact by Cobb on both sides means he will be invaluable on HOF and higher. Plus 99 speed means he will tear up the base paths as well as run down anything in the OF.

What other options do you currently have in the OF? Who's your 1b? Because Ruth plays well at 1st. You mention MVP Trout. Do you have MVP Trout? I think Harper, Cobb, Trout may be your OF in some permutation or another, if you have Trout and can move Babe to 1b.

My issue with walker is he is a little slow for those deep drives that are ran down by Mantle and Ellsbury and would be with Cobb. Put cobb in LF Harper in RF and if you have Mantle CF and put Ruth at 1st.

I don't have Mantle or Trout. I just unlocked Ruth last night and haven't used him yet. My OF right now is Ruth LF/Lofton CF/HarperRF and Thomas/Thames at 1B. Cobb will replace Lofton in CF. Do i sell Thomas and buy Walker for OF?

Couple things, it depends if you need the stubs for Walker - if you want him...sell Thomas. Also, you can always use Thomas as a platoon at 1B with Ruth if you run into a lefty.
Do you play well with The Big Hurt? There are plenty of 1B options in this game, more than OF.
I have pretty much all the OF cards and having Mantle & MVP Trout, Walker is perfect in RF as is and won't be leaving my lineup anytime soon.
Also, besides Mantle, Teddy Ballgame and Trout - there is no better hitter in the game. If you plan to prestige Walker, the only better hitter is Prestige Mantle.

I have the stats the prestige Walker, I just haven’t locked him yet. Going to give Cobb a spin before decoding. I know Griffey will drop soon too

Frank is a lefty killer so would be a good bench bat if you moved babe to 1st. Honestly if you are semi close to Mantle you could have gotten him when all the prices dropped over the weekend.
I have had mantle for maybe 2 to 3 weeks and he is great at defense and he is a great hitter.

In your case, I'd hold onto Thomas and keep him as a platoon with Ruth. Platoons are valuable to have, imo. Walker is very nice, but if you don't need him and he's a luxury then you have your answer. Cobb will be just fine out there.

I have MVP Ricky in LR and Walker in RF. Walker is so good all around and honestly plays above his stats against lefties, too. Since I have Ricky, I likely won’t take Cobb and will probably choose Pudge, but you won’t go wrong with Walker in your OF!
