I don’t know what happened but lately this game has been very unforgiving for swing timing and PCI placement.
I’m not gonna sit here and talk about all my P/P swings that go for outs because, frankly, I don’t get a lot of P/P swings. But, I get close. A lot. And I am not getting hits for good (not “perfect”) timing and the ball completely in the PCI circle; very close to perfect center.
Those used to be hits a lot more frequently than they are now. Am I alone in this?
-
I pop out more than I ground out bc I usually try for Home Runs and I have noticed that lately, I am getting more IF pop ups on good timing with the ball at the edge of the top of my pci
-
Enough people are being vocal that I could believe they nerfed it a little. Maybe? Idk why though.
But I personally think the game hasn’t changed much, and is just as inconsistent as it’s been all year. Not bad, but certainly far from great.
There is just a lot less going on in the show right now to distract us. -
I think they did nerf hitting. I usually hit around .300 on AS, .275 on HoF.
This season I started at 700. I am 10-10 and am hitting .227. That’s a big enough drop to indicate something has changed, I think.

I seem to really struggle on All-Star. I strikeout so much it's ridiculous, and when I do make contact, it's very poor contact. On AS the PCI just seems to have a mind of its own and goes where it wants.

I agree. I can’t hit on all star to save my life. Played 2 ranked games last night. Lost one won one. Then played a conquest game on legend and was hitting homers. Something about the bigger pci and slower pitch speed messes me up on all star.

It really irks me because I need to finish off some conquest map challenges (i.e., defeat the Cubs in the first turn), and in those scenarios I have to play on AS. I'm fine with having to play on AS if I have to, I'm fine with the increased pitch speeds and all that, but for Pete's sake, please fix the PCI on that difficulty...

This is simple really...
Player wins game = it’s all skill, I‘m amazing
Player loses game = They tweaked hitting, RNG screwed me -

I’m simply pointing out that my BA has dropped 50 points this season. With 20 games played I’d say that’s a decent sample size. Is that not worth asking about?

I wonder if they lowered power for the dead ball event?
-
Funny thing though: first game after posting this, I got 12 hits and scored 10 runs in a little over two innings (on AS).
This probably ensures I won’t score for my next four games. I used it all up. Lol.

Or they saw your post, tweaker just YOUR hitting, nerfed your opponents

It's a YOU thing. Hitting is the same

I used to think it was all about who had the better internet connection and console (i.e. a PS4 Pro versus and regular PS4). I recently upgraded to the Pro, however, and still find that the hitting is nerfed. I'm pretty sure something was implemented to prevent better players from producing 20 hit games every time they play.
Idk. I used to really enjoy trying to get better at the game, but, anymore, it seems like the game is subject to a lot of RNG outside of the control of the user.

I feel you on this. I had a perfect/perfect linedrive or fly ball with Bryce Harper against a RHP that went off the wall. I know P/P doesn't always result in a HR but when its someone with 125 power you would think it would be a no doubt shot

Maybe more players left for madden so the real “tryhards” are sticking around and ur facing better competition?

Maybe it's a Tyler thing because hitting offline has always been easy. Ain't that right Franchise boy.

Player loses game = They tweaked hitting, RNG screwed meI wouldnt say thats always true every time. I had a game a couple days ago that I was absolutely the beneficiary of the rng gods. I wouldnt have won without it.
