league invitations through the ps from people you don't know

I've been getting some messages with invites to custom leagues for MLB20. I never got these types of messages back in MLB17 and before. You had to know someone or go through the "looking for Players" menu tab on the game itself.
I don't trust these messages. I'm afraid some of these might be just trying to get my information.
What do you guys think? Am I paranoid or are they legit people trying to form leagues? -

Just spreading the word fam, that's all. Nothing creepy bout that
Nothing against spreading the word about a league, but I can't see myself searching for PSNs of people I don't know and have never had an interaction with, adding them, and sending them an invite. There's got to be a better, more efficient, less sleuthy way to do it.

I'm not RANDOMLY looking up peoples PSNs. Just sending messages to guys who are looking for Leagues on here, that all

Am I paranoid or are they legit people trying to form leagues?LOL don't be scared, its just commissioners trying to do early recruiting via TSN, Reddit, OS, etc. I know because ppl like myself are starting up LGs and have been sending LG invites to random people via PS4 as well.
If people post that they're looking for leagues, I get it. If people aren't making those posts and are still getting invites, I don't get it.
