What will probably happen (I hope it doesn’t), is some of us collected all TN to this point and a fraction will be needed and the values will all tank. If that happens, there is no incentive to collect from week to week....maybe I’m just being cynical.

The optimistic side of me makes me think this will be a tiered collection (similar to the Prospects) where you get different levels of POtM cards on the way to the almighty card which will be EXTRA juiced at the end

    Here lies the problem.
I have said this many times on the board.
SDS will always zig when we expect them to zag.
They will do one thing this month and go in a completely different direction the next.
    They are predictably unpredictable.
Remember how lots of us stocked up on low golds and silvers right before TA3 dropped? They killed those investments when they made TA3 sellable.

I am personally buying all of the Topps Now cards (apart from the ones I earn) just in case.
If they require everything, I am covered. If it is less than all of them, I figure that I can sell the extras and earn my stubs back (hopefully)

No they wouldn’t subtract the number. They’d keep adding like they’ve been doing. First is was 32 now apparently 35? These Topps moments have been cake except for this last set I’m having trouble with the Padres moment. They probably figure since it’s an easy 5k minimum made per Topps card some people already sold theirs and are going to inflate the market when they announce the new POTM card

Issue for me is you only collect 2 once in a while 3 and then you have to buy. I was keeping up minus the last 2 weeks and for me to buy the 6 I am missing now it would cost anywhere from 75-90K. I can buy a boss for that money.

I am just buying the cards I need. I have a feeling that if it’s Tatis, he will be one of the best cards in the game, and well worth the cost of locking all
Of these in. Also, I agree this could very well end up being a tiered collection, with multiple cards.. I am hoping For Tatis and a Soto

Exactly my game plan... It's a Miami Hustle thing...

Yeah. Its increased with each new Topps Now release. It started at 24 or so (I think) and continuously goes 3 higher than the max available.

You not need the max # to get the MA boss, last year you only needed like 17 out of 20 for the last few sets.

I still think the values increase of the Topps cards regardless. I can't see you needing less than what you could earn for the collection. If it's that number then prices go up because lots and lots of people sold them and have none. If you need most, let's say 2/3 or 3/4 then I could see the value really climbing.

The premise of the Topps cards is that they are earned weekly, I know there was a pack available in a map but it would seem to be in everyone's interest, including Topp's (for advertising, imaging an branding) to not tank these cards, which really could be done only by releasing packs. As the moments are available and these cards are earned, the only way I see them tanking the Topp's market is by releasing multiple packs and I just don't see that happening, at least not at 1st.

We're seeing more cards like Prime for the Trout collection coming out but a good time after the initial drop. Maybe I'm wrong and they punish the people who have collected and bought Topp's cards, certainly no one forced people sell them as soon as they got them. But I don't see that happening, I think the Topp's cards go up, maybe not crazy high, but at least double.

Seems odd though u earn 2-3 each week and then u have to purchase the rest? so even if u earn all the ones needed still might cost u 100K stubs? No thanks

I've purposely been holding off on completing the last TN moment for each week so as to avoid the temptation of opening the TN packs. My plan is to wait for those prices to skyrocket and select my cards based on who goes for the most stubs...then parlay my earned stubs into buying the NL gatekeepers and finishing the NL collection for Mantle.
