Walter Johnson Final Showdown Tips

I've beat it 10 or so times for packs, he's not bad as long as you're ready for the fast stuff.
He only has two speeds, so sit fast, adjust to slow. I don't swing at the off speed stuff unless there are two strikes.
don't worry about jjsmith, he/she is a troll that can't beat showdown.

He's not bad, he doesn't really get tired so don't try to wait him out. Wait for good pitches. After you hit a few hr's and score some it starts rolling like a wave, easy to score. also he;s way easier to pick up from teh stretch so get someone on base.

Great advice, you have learned a lot in your 14 hours of DD. But yes I was trolling... If you were able to get to 8 runs you probably/hopefully have decent perks and players.. just be patient, sit fastball, and don't panic if you still need 6-7 runs through the first 10 outs... once they start getting tired there will be more fastballs down the middle

Draft lefty bombers. I only took righty Cruz.
Was down 8-15 but won 18-15. Matt Carpenter hit 2.
Hit 7 or 8 bombs versus himLEFTIES!!!

It's a miracle! Or, this is one of my other accounts. Once the shark map dropped, I created a few alt accounts, both are sitting over 300K stubs. It's amazing what kind of luck these accounts have when my best pull on my main account is a 25 stub quick sell.

I came back from 9 easily, be patient and sit fastball, doesn’t even have that slider or cutter pitch

As others have said, draft power hitting lefties or righties with good #'s against RHP. Power is key as easiest way to avoid the DP is hitting it over the wall. If you have 8 already, you should be in good shape with your team. Perhaps do BP in custom practice against Walter as well as a warm up.

What he said. Try to get exit velocity perks and when you see a high fastball, swing away. I failed once starting down 15-9 and finishing 15-15 trying to make him tire out, and he was still throwing 102mph at 100pitches. The second time I was down 15-7 and swung at every high fastball I saw. Won it with like 13 outs left. Good luck! Oh and pick Bryce, he hits well off The Big Train.

HEAVY LEFTY LINEUP

Update: Won my final showdown 16-15 on a two-run bomb by J.D. Martinez with five outs left shortly after Dwight Evans hit a grand salami. Started slow, but starting on second time through the batting order with about 12 outs left finally figured out Johnson was pounding the bottom outer part of the strike zone and just waited on it. Thanks to all who gave helpful advice!
