Only bought beach ball pack, pulled base. Took Posada (only 1 I didn't have), BUT bought Hornsby off market for 80k and he hit a bomb for me 1st game in lineup! Happy overall!

I’m glad to hear somebody benefitted from it, and judging from the responses in the thread a good amount of people got massive hauls. So that makes up for it at least

Did ok. Missed the LS, pulled sig Boggs, awards Storey and awards Gagne. Sold Boggs at a profit, sold Storey at a nice profit and I’ll hang on to Gagne as I sold him a couple weeks back when I needed some stubbage to finish the LS collection. Also bought back Sig Chapman and awards Hornsby who I had also sold when I was finishing the LS collection. Not bad. With all the packs from Jackie conquest, new Topps Now and churning existing Topps now prior to today I did quite well after scratching to get the LS done.

They always jump back up in price after awhile as they become more scarce. It can’t hurt to buy them on the low.

I kinda benefited. After the first 2 with Bieber and base I didn’t think I would benefit lol. But then I pulled story which is a 30k profit if I sell tomorrow I bet...and top BB which is huge!

I watch the forum like a hawk for 3 weeks... and took a break today lol. Glad the sale seemed to get y'all a bunch of stubs though.

I was playing games and flipping live chapmans when the crash hit and it freaked me out for a sec. After I realized what was going on I started buying, for a hot minute there it was like sharks fighting to get to a wounded seal.

I posted this in the other thread about who people pulled and bought, but figured its relevant here:
Had like 480k stubs. Im down to like 11k now.
Diamonds and above:
1 x Gerrit Cole for 112,005. (Will sell right toward the end of the stub sale.
1 x Rogers Hornsby for 76,250. (Will sell him later as I'm using Bo Bitchette at 2B.
1 x Matt Wieters for 12,801 (Will be sold later)
1 x Ozzie Smith for 7,856 (Will be sold later)
1 x Yadier Molina for 39,005. Right before the hour was up he dropped to like 25k for a few minutes, but then shot back up. (Will be sold later)
1 x Rod Carew for 15,081 (Will be sold later)
4 x Andrew McCutchen's for about 8k ish each. (Will be sold later)
3 X Zack Grienke's for 8kish each (Will be sold later)
1 X John Smoltz for 32,801 Might use him in the pen if im not using his FOTF. Will probably sell, but want to test him out.
1 x Charlie Blackmon for 26,990 (Will be sold later)
2 x Wade Boggs for 8237 and 8225 (Will be sold later)
6 X Lucas Giolitos for between 5.5k-6k. (Figure I'll sell them next week at some point when his price goes up after the free give away ends.)
5 X Daniel Murphy for 5,256k each. (Will be sold later)Gold:
- Several 84 Charlie Mortons for 1334 or less.
- Probably at least 10-15 Dinelson Lamet's for around 1251 or less to help with TA exchanges.
- Bought like 20-30 Gold 83 Charlie Blackmons at under 1200 a piece to get the Dodgers TA to grab Hersh. (Already have him, but considering how good he is, I know he will sell for a good amount.)
Final Thoughts:
Had to sell my Bryce Harper for 96k to finance some more investments. I also have a Trout I'm sitting on as well, but waiting to see if he gets up to like 220ish by the end of the stub sale. I still feel like I'm missing some players, but have to go through my Dashboard notification log again.
I will say, this felt like I was at the NYCSE shouting, jumping, and losing my mind trying to trade stocks... except here stubs and cards. This is definitely a kind of rush.

Generally the furthest they’ll let us know in advance is a few days before the sale. More often it’s either the day before or the day of the sale.

Sorry about that. You of all should have pulled awesome cards. Without you I wouldn’t have known as well. I bought 2 packs. I haven’t opened them yet. Later today when I get home.
