On Friday. Cobb, Kershaw, and Chipper Jones.
Who’s with me?
I just think there’s no way they do it. Hornsby Ryan and Robert are endgame cards and could be elite tier themselves.
what is your point? Most cards releasing now are end game cards. Are you saying there are no 3 other yet released that are better than the mid tier? Kershaw, Chipper, Gehrig, Foxx and about 10+ more are better than Ryan, Hornsby and Robert.

Exactly , they were all good cards but lacking severely in certain aspects. Elite tier would be more 5 tool. Like an elite pitcher with control , as Ryan has none and a bad pitch selection.
A middle infielder that has speed and defense to go along with a superior bat.
And an outfielder who is 5 tool but with a truely end game bat like Griffey or mays.

They’re clearly meant to be end game cards. The point I’m making is the elite tier wouldn’t be a significant enough upgrade over the rare tier. Hornsby was a top 2 second baseman last year and from what I’ve seen is widely considered in the same category this year, Ryan would absolutely be an elite pitcher if his pitch mix wasn’t atrociously bad for this game, and Robert is a 5 tool outfielder right along the lines you’ve set. How much of an upgrade would it be?? Not enough.
Of course, now that I’m saying this watch me be completely wrong on it.
-
I'm praying for a BB pack this friday. Sold off all my BB cards hoping they go on sale Friday. Wait I need to sell Ryan still.

This history of these sort of packs, Sig packs and DOTP is base, rare, and elite. My guess is a similar trend will follow this pack type as well. There’s so many potential cards yet to be released, there has to be more ways than the programs at this point... my opinion leans to an elite round forthcoming.

Should be pitchers the size of a beach ball. I’d go Colon, David Wells, veteran Pedro Martinez?

C.c. sabathia too

Mays cost a fortune last year. I hope he is not a WS or BR reward this year. Best center fielder in the game

All in saying is that the odds for Hornsby, Ryan, and Robert wouldn’t have been 1/4 in this pack if they didn’t plan on adding a 1/10 elite tier
-
likely they will add a player to Hornsby Ryan and Robert and then re release the pack. So they could put in a 99 Piazza or someone else to generate more interest. Then next week they will put the packs in as an event reward or conquest reward.

That's interesting. I didn't think there would be an Elite tier for this pack but the 1:4 is a dead giveaway that we will see another tier, I think.
It's just crazy to imagine cards that are actually significantly better than Hornsby and Robert. In my opinion, you'd have to have guys like Ken Griffey Jr./Willie Mays, Clayton Kershaw/Kenley Jansen, and like Mike Piazza/Johnny Bench or something.

It's 1/4 for a 40k pack. If it were 1/4 for a 25k pack then yea I would think that they add in a 1/10 option and they sell it for 30k.
-
I think they add in a player and sell it again for 40k
-
They have a few high end future stars, the big boy legends we all want and like half of the great relievers left so I can see another round being added.

I know I know, it’s weird. All I’m saying is that those three are good enough to be in the theoretical elite tier.

And two of the three base tier cards are end game level options too lmao. The “too good to not be in the highest tier” doesn't make much sense when two of the most expensive cards in 19 are in the base tier of this pack.

Both BR rewards. Gagne I understand, but Posada was super expensive because everybody trips over themselves for a switch hitting catcher. The separation between them would just be so minuscule.
On a side note I’m gonna need you to stop disagreeing with me on literally every post I make lmao

Would you say to sell Hornsby/Gagne/Posada etc today before Conquest map and possible flash sales?
