I have to agree. They never pass up the chance to take stubs from people and an elite tier on that one for 50k or so would get plenty of buyers.

Chipper is basically guaranteed to be in a pack like this if you ask me. Kershaw seems more like an inning boss personally. My guess is Chipper, Piazza, and Cobb

Kershaw is 12-0 probably after being free last year.

I could see that. Or a great but not WS/BR level great reliever like Fingers or Eckersley. Or maybe one of the old starters we haven’t seen yet like Cy Young or Gibson.

I think Chipper was BR reward last year. If he wasn’t he was a WS reward in which case he’ll be a flawless s reward because he’s certainly won’t be a boss as he’s already had that honor earlier this year

I think Chipper was BR reward last year. If he wasn’t he was a WS reward in which case he’ll be a flawless s reward because he’s certainly won’t be a boss as he’s already had that honor earlier this year

what is your point? Most cards releasing now are end game cards. Are you saying there are no 3 other yet released that are better than the mid tier? Kershaw, Chipper, Gehrig, Foxx and about 10+ more are better than Ryan, Hornsby and Robert.

Exactly , they were all good cards but lacking severely in certain aspects. Elite tier would be more 5 tool. Like an elite pitcher with control , as Ryan has none and a bad pitch selection.
A middle infielder that has speed and defense to go along with a superior bat.
And an outfielder who is 5 tool but with a truely end game bat like Griffey or mays.

They’re clearly meant to be end game cards. The point I’m making is the elite tier wouldn’t be a significant enough upgrade over the rare tier. Hornsby was a top 2 second baseman last year and from what I’ve seen is widely considered in the same category this year, Ryan would absolutely be an elite pitcher if his pitch mix wasn’t atrociously bad for this game, and Robert is a 5 tool outfielder right along the lines you’ve set. How much of an upgrade would it be?? Not enough.
Of course, now that I’m saying this watch me be completely wrong on it.
