MLB TS 19 Historic Rosters

Absolutely enjoying 80s 90s. Are you still working on 60s 70s. No rush, just always excited for your rosters. I also have been enjoying nhl 20. Thanx again for your fabulous rosters!

Yes, I'm still working on the 60-79 roster. I've got all of the AL done, the NL East and NL Central done, and am starting the NL West today. It should take a week or two to finish and then I'll upload it to the vault and will update this message thread.

Thank you!!

With all of the time and work you put into these rosters...what do you do when 20 comes out? Assuming this work isnt transferable to 20? Do you just keep playing Franchise in The Show 19?

I am planning on porting all of my rosters from MLBTS 19 to MLBTS 20.
For MLBTS 20 it will include ALL TIME GREATS, HISTORIC ROSTERS 1990-2009, HISTORIC ROSTERS 1970-1989, HISTORIC ROSTERS 1950-1969, HISTORIC ROSTERS 1930-1949, and HISTORIC ROSTERS 1900-1929.
FYI... I am just about finished with the MLBTS 19 version of HISTORIC ROSTER 1960-1979 and will likely have it up in the vault sometime this weekend.
-
I finished the MLBTS 19 version of HISTORIC ROSTER 1960-1979 and uploaded it to the vault.
I'm going to do a quick port of the HISTORIC ROSTER 1940-1959 and HISTORIC ROSTER 1900-1939 just so I can easily transfer them to MLBTS 20 when it comes out. However, I'm not going to spend any time on player edits for these last two rosters. I'm not even sure they're worth uploading to the vault because they will literally be just an export and import from MLBTS 18 to MLBTS 19 and nothing else.

Thanx!!! Great news! Can you use the older rosters in 19. Not going to get 20 until you get at least a couple of your rosters on there. Hallelujah!!!!!!

Looking over 60s 70s team rosters. Absolutely incredible. So many memories. Wow!! The detail is beyond great. Can't say thank you enough. You have made my baseball day. These rosters are a sight to behold. Will start playing right now. Thanx again!!!

Thanks, glad you like them, I had a lot of fun making them and playing games along the way. I played a few games between the 63 Dodgers and the 62 Giants and it was a blast. Same with the 69 Mets vs the 70 Orioles.
I'm not sure what you mean by "Can you use the older rosters in 19." Anything that you can download from the vault into MLBTS 19 will work in any mode; play now, franchise, playoff, etc.

Yes, lots of my growing up years with early 60s giants dodgers rivalry. What i meant was is it a big difference to play your 18 rosters on 19 gameplay, like 1900 to 59' rosters from mlb 18 to 19. I would have to reload 18 to the ps4 to import. All i play is post season. Love it. Pls advise. Thank you
-
If you import 1900 to 59 rosters to 19 would it be to difficult to add them to vault. I have never imported from franchise i guess. Just play your rosters when they show up in the vault. Sometimes active roster but mostly just your rosters. Appreciate all the work!!
-
Best way to put it--can you play mlb18 rosters in mlb 19 without editing. Would it effect results too much, or is it pretty much ok. Thanx

You can carry over an 18 franchise into 19 and play it okay today without the need to port the roster.
When I port a roster from 18 to 19 I have to carry over a franchise and then I export each player from the franchise and import each player into a fresh roster. For the 60-79 roster we’re talking about 1200+ players. After importing I typically edit each player to make sure they look right, they’re using the proper equipment that 19 has, make sure the MLB/AAA/AA/A assignments are right, set the proper pitching rotations and lineups, etc.
Each year there’s something that needs to be adjusted from the previous year. One year the skin tones didn’t match so they had to be adjusted, one year the Adidas or Nike shoes were different and they didn’t look right on the players, etc, etc, etc.
When I said I’m going to do a quick port of 1900-1939 and 1940-1959 from MLBTS 18 into MLBTS 19 what I mean is that I‘m just going to export and import each player from 18 to a 19 roster; however, I’m not going to make any edits, not going to set rotations or lineups, etc. I‘m only doing this so that I don’t have to recreate these players from scratch in MLBTS 20. Like I said, I’m likely not going to upload these last two rosters to the 19 vault because they won’t be up to the standard that I like the rosters to be.

Gotcha. I still use the fantastic 15 rosters you made for the 1900 1949 teams. The 4 rosters you made for 19 will quench my thirst until you get a few rosters out for 20, then I'll buy it. Yes, we don't want to compromise these great rosters. You have spoiled me for any other rosters. Thank you.

Quick question from a senior citizen. How do you export a player from an imported franchise ie 18 to 19 which I have done? I do not see an export option. Thank you.
-
First, the franchise has to have a certain option set to "on" when the Franchise is created in 18, I think it's called User Control or something like that. As you have already done start MLBTS 19, go to Franchise panel, and continue a franchise from 18 to 19. Select the 18 franchise you want to continue and then Save the 19 franchise to your hard drive.
Second, from within the 19 franchise go to the Roster Control panel and select a team. Then select a player from that team and click the Export option. Save the player to your hard drive. Do this for all players you want to export; 2700 of them if each team has 90 players.
Third, quit the 19 franchise and then open up the roster you want to import the players into. Go to the team you want to import the first player into, select the player to overwrite, click the Import option, and select the player to import from your hard drive. Do this 2699 more times and you'll have ported a full 90 man per team roster.

I hear you might be able to import rosters with 20. Hope so
