Prime: Darvish or Oswalt
-
Oswalt’s pitches are very deceptive because of his release point. The fastball really gets on you, I can’t recommend him enough. Easy enough to control too
-
Oswalt, because he can be prestiged

I loved using the Oswalt and one of few I believe but now he doesn’t have a stop in my rotation.
I really liked Oswalt too and did pretty well with him when I used him on AS, he's almost prestiged but I havn't been using him. Do you play on HOF or above? How does he do?

No just used him when I could on Hall of Fame i. Event. I am not a RS Hall guy

Used both and Prestige Oswalt > Darvish. Obviously, smaller sample size with Darvish since it takes time to prestige, but I just felt like I could locate better with Oswalt. Love his pitch selection, and that 12-6 curve is nasty.

Roll with him in ranked still?

Yes although I rotate him and Kluber. My rotation is
Maddux
MadBum
Walter
Hal
Kluber/Oswalt/threw in Lester for a game to try who I just unlocked today as well. -
Roy. Even with Kluber Seaver Orel Maddux and co Roy stays in my rotation always. He’s a beast

I’d have to agree with this. I HATE facing him. Hell I hit Kluber better than Oswalt.

Prime Darvish - mainly 2 pitch mix; slider with "knee buckler" quirk & cutter which doesn't need a quirk this year it's so good
Prime Oswalt - mainly 2 pitch mix; sinker with "sinkerballer" quirk which is probably tied with the Cutter as best 2 pitches in game & 12-6 curve with "knee buckler"
Prestige Oswalt on the other hand adds "cheesy" to 4 seam fastball which could be a difference maker
do you have more success throwing sliders or 12-6? they each have both but with opposite "quirks". Cutter or "Sinkerballer" ? plan on prestiging Oswalt? you could easily have success with both if used accordingly to your style

Similar pitchers by the looks. Anyone have experience with both to really give any insight?
Those pitcher quirks don't do anything they just mean the pitch reaches a certain threshold in break and maybe control. It's just meant to be an easy way to figure out what pitches are good.
This site Daddy Leagues has the pitch stats for most guys, highly recommend using it.
Darvish: https://www.daddyleagues.com/dd/20/card/2156-Yu_Darvish
Oswalt: https://www.daddyleagues.com/dd/20/card/6-Roy_Oswalt
They're fairly similar but Darvish is much more of wild strikeout guy whereas Oswalt is easier to hit but has 5 decent pitches and a lot of control, more pitch to contact. Darvish has a nasty cutter and slider and the 12-6 .

I havent used Darvish but Oswalt I believe is the most underwhelming pitcher in the game. Everytime I used him I got shelled, everytime I face him I hit him hard. Heard this from a bunch of other players as well.
