We are quickly approaching the end of another MLB the Show cycle.
While we still have a bit to go, we all know that the end is near when you are benching 99 OVR cards for other 99's.

I decided to make a list of top end cards some if not most of us are waiting for:
    Kershaw
    Gehrig
    Gibson
    Wagner (next BR Reward?)
    Jimmy Foxx (for Gut Foxx)
    Piazza
    Willie Mays
    Verlander (?)
    Honus
    Goose
    Pujols
    Ted Williams
    Ty Cobb
    Jansen
and my personal favorite DJ Dan Plesac.

Great job but you forgot my man Chipper and my starting 2nd baseman for a long time last year Alomar

That's right how could I forget Larry?
He already has a Boss card that can go up to a 96 OVR, He might be a BR/WS reward or TA4?

At this point I need a 99 Chipper Jones. 3B is the only position I can really upgrade

Don’t forget 99 Griffey. The 98 HRD doesn’t cut it.

I don't know where they will drop him. He was a WS reward last year but had a program boss this year. Probably him own program or moments extreme (if they do that again). TA4 is a good guess if they do legends again

You know what card I would love to see but there is ZERO chance in hell we see it because the guy is a total POS?

    1999 PS John Rocker
That guy was so clutch that postseason. I remember his epic ABs vs Mike Piazza. That NLCS was one of the best performances by a reliever I have ever seen in the playoffs.

I looked up his #'s from that postseason and they were even better than what I remembered.
    10 Games
    12 IP
    18K's
    1-0 Record
    3 Saves
    0.00 ERA

Is a 99 Griffey gonna be better than Mantle/Trout/Walker though?? He'd take over Walkers spot ideally, but would need some wicked offensive and equal defense for me to replace the anaconda in RF.

At that point it will come down to personal preference.
For example, I have to think long and hard about what to do with Harper.
Why? I have always mashed with Harper cards. So will I hit so much better with this Harper that I can bench Walker? That is something I doubt, but in order to give Harper a shot (75 ABs) Walker has to sit.

I actually got Bellinger in the outfield instead of Walker so I’d have zero problems putting him on the bench for Griffey, but I see the dilemma, plus Harper and all the others.
But given the fact they haven’t released him yet, tells me they might give him a really juicy card, kinda celebrate him again, and he’s also got such a good swing on this game!

A non-crappy Lee Smith. We could all use another top quality bullpen option imo.

Also there's Brad Lidge, Joe Nathan, Jose Mesa, Tom Gordon, Jose Valverde, Rick Aguilera, Armando Benitez, and even Rod Beck.

Each year my team never feels complete until I get a 99 Johnny Bench at catcher.
