Prime vs SS ... huh?

Yo what’s the difference between Prime and SS? I get that Prime represents their “prime” years, but isn’t that basically what SS is — a composite of their best seasons? It looks like Frank’s MLB 20 Prime is a little better than his MLB 19 SS.
Frank’s card art gives me butterflies. Like when I come home and see Robin Yount sunbathing nude on my couch.

Sig series encompasses their whole career
Awards cards are one season.

The attributes do seem a little random. Prime should be the better card but that hasn't always been the case

I always thought SS was their 3-4 best stat years over their career and Prime is their 3-4 best years in a row.

SS can be better than prime bc they take the best attributes from their whole career. So if a guy was fast and good at base running early in his career and then developed power later in his career, his SS card could have the good base running and power

This is why SS is better than prime. Barry bonds was a speedy little [censored] with pop in his early years. He morphed into a balloon headed monster that hits bombs at record levels. So his SS would be a speedy [censored] who hits bombs.

Yeah, i thought SS was the repackaged Immortal card from 18, where it was the highest they ever were at each attribute. So by that a Prime Bonds from SF would have the same power as a SS Bonds, but his SS card would have his early speed.

So basically career average with an emphasis on prime years. The only attributes that are treated like immortals(the highest they have ever been), are speed fielding and bunting.
