Will you keep playing The Show after Madden drops?

I personally move onto to FIFA for the fall and winter, because I'm a Buddhist, and suffering is a part of life. Then I quite FIFA when each new Show is released, rinse and repeat.

I don't play Madden. I'm wondering how you can compare the two and say one is a better game? It's an entirely different sport.
It’s not sport vs sport, It’s the structure of MUT vs the structure of DD....MUT is way better in so many ways. Just a few examples...
You can earn tons of coins every week just playing the weekly modes - Solo battles & Weekend League...The Show doesn’t offer anything like that. In the show unless you’re a great player that can go 12-0 or make WS or spend tons of time working the market you’re not gonna make a lot of coins easily.
In MUT most good players have a power up card that starts as around a 70 overall that you can spend training on to build them up to a high 90’s card. In DD you are completely at the mercy of what SDS drops to you.
In MUT you can increase your team’s attributes by adding different types of chemistry to the team, stadiums, uniforms & coaches.
And the gameplay...You don’t have the RNG that you have in the show. The only RNG is when non user controlled players like a offensive tackle & a pass rusher are fighting.
Dude, the last madden champ this year had a punter at qb. You cant point any fingers at any other game after realizing that.
That was incredible. That guy was amazing. He always audibled to the right formation & was so good at setting up his blocks. Never seen anybody on the professional circuit run like he did. Gotta tip your hat - Just amazing.
-
I’m gonna play both a lot still but in no way is madden better then the show lol btw I’ve never gone 12-0 or made ws or worked the market and I’ve made a lot of stubs this year
-
I have loved my first experience but I earned equal number of coins in much less time on madden than in mlb and equal quality team

I played more organized football than any other sport, but I think I like it the least. And out of principle I’m also not a fan of how the NFL handled(s) kneeling or concussions.
I haven’t watched the NBA since Jordan left the Bulls.
Does any NHL game have something like DD?
MLB is my only sports game. No matter how flawed it is, baseball is love.

When you can win a BIG tournament by running 0 pass plays ( he drafted a punter for his QB spot ), you know the game sucks.
Can not even compare the two. EA is a big money grab , the biggest. Sure they give you coins, but everyone gets them. This in turn inflates market. Does not matter how many coins they give you, if the market just raises the price.
Show+nms can thrive. Madden + good luck nms, you will need it.

Yes, but I'm not really huge into football, play MLB year-round
I will play MLB. I normally fall away for a bit, and go to Madden then, but I think I will stay with this game this year.

There are good games out/coming out that I'll be playing. For sports, it's baseball and golf (new sequel to Golf Club in 10 days I think). I don't care for Madden or NBA, personally. I bought Ghost of Tsushima and that is fantastic. CyberPunk is due in November, which will take a lot of my time. I'll play some baseball/golf here and there, but taking my time currently in Ghost and will do so in CyberPunk as well. I'm torn on the Avengers game. It's a good time to be a gamer.

The guy that won that tournament was amazing. As I told the guy that mentioned it earlier. That player did the best job running the ball on the professional circuit that I’ve ever seen. 99.99999% of people could not win a game in that tournament doing that. In 20 years people will still be talking about that as an amazing feat. That’s not the game, That was just an amazing player.
As far as what you’re saying about no money spent. All I can say is my personal experience....I spent $100 on Madden this year because I wanted Troy Polamalu the day he dropped. The rest of the year I didn’t spend anything and just used my coins won from weekend league & solo battles and have a 98 overall team whereas I dropped $1200 on the show to get Mantle day one. But it’s definitely possible to have a 99 no money spent team in either game.
-
No more Madden for me. I quit after what really amounted to was just roster updates for $60. I play MLB solid until mid February then I play COD, but am looking forward to the new 2K golf game.
-
Online play for both MLB and Madden are both trash. All about the meta. I prefer the menus of Madden to the menus of MLB. I did break a million stubs ( no flex as I am sure people have way more stubs) on MLB for the first time.

What are you talking about? Running was the whole game and in every tournament. Plays were at least 75% time running. That guy who won just took it to a new level. The fact he was able to do it, shows you how whack the game play was.
You based your whole argument on the actual acquiring cards. I have played madden last 2 years. As my video shows, stubs are way easy to make here. To get ahead in Madden with nms, you need farm accounts.
Everyone is going to feel the way they feel. We are just saying your feelings are not based on facts( which you tried to present as facts ). Kinda like Trump saying covid is under control and will just disappear . Pipe dreams are not facts.

Pipe dreams are not facts.Madden had so many things that were exploited and frustrating for me when I wanted to play the game the way game I wanted to, hopefully this year it’s good enough for me to play wl. It’s really easy to make coins/stubs playing the game normally for both but I’d say easier for madden

2 years ago yes, doing the playbooks. last year was more time consuming. Both can be nms. Show is just plain and simple nicer to nms.
I took a break for 5 months from madden with 2 mil coins in my bank. Was able to buy up everything to make a 98 squad in April. Cards i had were useless. In Madden, the cards get outdated quick. Cards do not retain much value. Way different than the Show. Both have their pros and cons. Without a doubt, Show is the better game for nms, and if you think otherwise? then you not doing it right.

All right let's break it down!
SDS made it extremely easy to earn stubs in DD. I haven't worked the market much this year in comparison to previous years and not only do I have Mantle, but I'm very close to Trout as well. Those 3 free 99s from the last few programs? Yeah man they'll gift you 100k in stubs.
CAPS needed a change and what they currently have is imo just fine. Far superior to feeding him people. Also did you forget they had some "rookie to prime" player programs? Carlos Gonzales, Jackie Robinson, Pudge, ect...
You also can't customize your uniforms. Simultaneously you have Inside Edge that works as that same role, while yes it only affects LS cards, its there. Not to mention you can do this with several players with Prestige. This is also a counter point to what you said regarding "power ups".
Okay this is where I laughed the hardest. Let's make some comparisons!
MLB sees you fielding 9 players, and controlling at most 4 simultaneously. The player you control is based on where the ball travels.
When fielding, 4 players are involved in a single routine and that's only with a relay. Interactions with each player are exchanged when the ball is in the air, so between throws control changes. You throw from LF to SS. You control the LF, SS AI sets the alignment, you gain control halfway through the throw and can start your next throw if needed.
You are never out of control aside from AI positioning. Baserunning has more AI control but thats just so it makes baserunning a tad easier and less complex. You still have majority control, even of individual runners.
Madden sees 11 players per team, 22 Players engaged on every single play. Your result on almost every single play is almost entirely composed of RNG. Why is this? Because you only control 1 player.
Your O-Line is 100% AI driven, and every play is dependent on whether or not they hold up their blocks, open gaps, or protect your QB.
You snap the ball, hope for good RNG from your O-line. Here comes the biggest user-input from your QB. Where are you going to throw the ball? This is dependent on your opponents defensive AI RNG. At this point before you even throw the ball at least 20 interactions have occured that are all 100% AI and RNG driven. You can control their movements pre-snap, but after that ball is snapped, you only control 1 player.
So throw the ball to Hopkins, but he has Darius Slay covering him. You control Hopkins, he controls Slay. Coverage ends up tight because your QBs RNG forces a throw off target, and now you have to go for an aggressive catch. Roll the dice cause your opponent is doing the same.
This happens on every play. Madden is 90% AI driven. A guy literally won a tournament with a punter as QB because he did nothing but exploit AI and ran the ball. Madden is a game of animations and RNG and you have 0 control over either of these two things.
If I'm wrong, please state where, how and what really happens.
-
Yes and no. I'll keep playing MLB 20 after Madden drops. Then I'll quit playing it. Probably sometime next year... which is after Madden drops.
