With the way they've released certain cards for certain teams to this point (see the Royals and Padres), TA4 is anybody's guess. I'm thinking they'll be a mix of current and retired players. But as far as what types of card(s) they'll be, I've given up trying to even guess.

Nobody knows but the general consensus is they'll do finest from this season since they've already used the major legends for a lot of teams. Like Brett from the Royals.

They have never had 4 stages, so unknown. I would say the stage 3 guys got there best card, & stage 4 will be classic finest cards or different legends, but that's just my opinion.

This is the first time we've ever done a stage 4 Team Affinity. And it's a complete unknown
Stage 1: Juiced Live Series Cards, generally around +10 to every offensive stat, I forget the defensive boost
Stage 2: Future Stars, heavily juiced prospect cards
    Stage 3: Team Legends
Stage 4: ??? For some teams It could be legends (Mariners getting 99 Griffey for example), but for others that wouldn't make sense (Phillies already released 99 Schmidt). It could be an even jucier finest(So Finest Eloy would have well over his deserved 0 fielding)

    I got 3 guesses.

    1. Finest cards from past years (I would personally be disappointed at the lack of innovation)

    2. Another set of legends from the 90s-2000s from each team, maybe awards series cards. (Royals could be like a Mike Sweeney or something)

    3. This would make no sense, timing wise, but I also feel like it’s the most likely. a final set of Future stars as there is still a lot of guys out there like K-Lew, Adley, Franco, etc, that don’t have high diamond cards yet. And it leaves room to throw finest into packs where they’ll cash in, like always.

Are they usually current players or legends? If legends, just upgrades of cards already released? Trying to plan ahead. Thanks.

First time for it so they aren't usually anything. it's anyones guess until they give us hints, in 2 months when it releases

I think they should have All-Time " Busts series:

Mets - Billy Beane (current Athletic's and "Moneyball" GM)
Royals - Clint Hurdle (did successfully manage the Buccos, though)
Phillies - Bryce Harper (go ahead and hate on me, Philly fans)
Padres - Manny Machado (go ahead and hate on me, Padres fans)
    2020 Pirates - every player

The Phillies honestly never won a trade. They also gave up Fergie Jenkins for scraps. And Curt Schilling for scraps. And Scott Rolen, etc. At least with the Hamels Trade it resulted in future National Legend JT Realmuto coming in

I'm thinking TA4 is where 99 2018 MVP Yelich comes out

I just don't think they give away griffey for that cheap. If they do legends then it will edgar. I agree with the rest tho.

Again, this is just a guess, but the only thing that seems like a remote possibility as far as a consistent theme goes for stage 4 would be like a "franchise award winners" type thing where they just release a ton of awards cards for a player from each team. They could find gold gloves, silver sluggers, Cy Young winners, etc from at least 1 unreleased player from each franchise I'm guessing. That's the only viable theory I've got left lol

You could be right. But there are 3 big reasons why I don't think they'll be Finest cards:

    1. If they're reserving Finest cards for TA4, some of the guys for each team who will be deserving of Finest cards (like Soto, Tatis, etc) are already in TA stage 1. So are they gonna release 2 versions of the same player in 1 program? Maybe but I doubt it.

    2. So far this year SDS has not gone more than 2 months between releasing each stage of TA. Stage 3 was at the end of June. I'd say we can probably expect stage 4 no later than mid September, before the season ends. So they won't have Finest cards out by then.

    3. There are still a LOT of legends and flashbacks that have yet to receive their top card and there are still not that many ways to release them. Yes, I know there's the new beachball pack and I know they just released 4 players in one Ruth program and might they do something like that again? Maybe but even if they do, there's still a ton of top level cards that need to come out and TA4 would take care of a lot of those.

Again, just my theory but to me it makes the most sense.

Thanks for the input. I already have my favorite teams maxed out but might gamble and complete a couple other teams in anticipation for a good stage 4 player.

Hopefully it’s not a designated set, but the best FB or Legend they can come up with for that team.

I think it will be post season busts. 63 Kershaw with the underwhelmed quirk 1 and 2. A Cano that will give you a free elite tier DOTP if you hit above the Mendoza line, and a "Killer Bee's" set that automatically drops you to spring training in RS.

    It will be epic.

They eon the Halladay trade, though with him blowing his arm like that they paid too much, but it was still a win, lost on the others though
