Does anyone know why when I play on my LG 4K TV (Pretty New) with game mode, it seems like I am late on everything.

I don't seem to have this problem when I play upstairs on my 4k monitor.

    Any tips for fixing this?

Even with game mode your tv is at 7-10 ms. While your monitor is most likely at 1-3 ms. Doesn’t seem like a lot but makes a total difference!

Yep. You can always tell when someone is playing on a monitor. It’s not normal for a guy to be consistently early on 99mph inside 4 seamers. Lol.

I switched to game mode on my LG 4k. I went from late and guessing every pitch to early on Aroldis Chapman inside fastballs with lefties. In my opinion it is a good problem. Just have to adjust my timing since I have been ignorant to the difference in game play. I went from 2-3 hits/game in RS to 15/31 my last game.

Every time I read a post like this reminds me on how bad I need a monitor. I’ve never made World series, but have been close several times over several versions of the show. I feel like once I get off my lazy [censored] an go buy a Monitor I’ll be a WS player within a week lol

I recently switched to a monitor when my TV game mode just wasn’t cutting it. Bought a $120 Dell gaming monitor and the difference is night and day. You’ll still be late on occasion on inside fastballs, but more often than not the bigger issue is being way early on pitches. I’m sure the impact is even greater on more expensive monitors, but even the cheaper ones make a substantial difference.

Tv sucks to play, its nice for graphics but trash for online gaming. I was playing on my samsung un60ks8000 and input lag is 21ms and so is your sony controller even wired has input lag so i switched to a benq EX3501R curved monitor and its way better and i got a tournament stick by collective minds on battlebeavercustoms.com bringing controller input lag from 13.5ms to 4.5 and to me makes a huge difference. If you gonna buy a monitor i suggest dont go cheap save some money and also wait til you can see a sale or discount and buy a good one trust me. My monitor when it came out after taxes i believe was a lil over 900 bucks but i got it when it was on sale on top of a discount code i found online and paid 450 shipped. Never will i play on tv again

Hey, I just ordered a tournament stick. Thanks for the recommendation. Do you need to change any settings on the console when you plug the stick in? There’s an option to select how the controller connects when you plug it in to the usb. Do you need to mess with that?

Me too. I was ranked 400 in RS and since game mode switch I am a win away from 700. Amazing grace!

This is a good tip. My TV is super old but the picture is still great. So no way I'm buying a monitor just to play baseball on my ps4. I have no problem being competitive at Madden. However getting a new controller might be the answer. Thanks.

To me having to buy something to be able to compete at a game is silly to me. I understand how things work, but the fact that it's such a wide discrepancy between a monitor versus a TV is just wrong.

I just made the adjustment on my TV to Gaming Mode. There is a huge difference. I went from having to guess every pitch and being over -matched to putting up really good ABs and squaring up the ball a lot more.

Also, I didn't notice anyone mentioning pitching. But I had to make a huge adjustment pitching. Yes...I use the meter...I know...I know. But I was early releasing every pitch right after the change. Now I find myself having to wait a great deal.
