Did they tweak hitting?

I thought this was only me. I just bought the show this month so I figured they were boosting me to get me to enjoy the gameplay and spend money and now they cut it off. Hitting has changed for sure recently

The hitting was fine the way it was. Now I feel like if your a SMIDGE off of the stupid PCI then the ball just dies. It’s ridiculous. I wish they would just get rid of the zone hitting entirely but I know it won’t go well w the community.

I play on legendary for practice mode to warm up. I'm good or early on fastballs. Then I go and play online and I am late as f... Makes no sense. Other than their servers are dog poo.

All I know is I hit way better in the HOF event than this one on All-Star. Maybe I just suck. Who knows.

I just wish I knew what experience I was getting from game to game. I hate the games when I have to swing as the pitcher releases the ball. The games where I can actually track the pitches and react are much more enjoyable. I don’t remember it being quite so bad last year. And last year I played on a tv.

thought it was just me.. but I've [censored] near replayed this east showdown 3 about 15 straight times.

Noticed this too. Was really seeing some success in the Baseball's Back event early on but out of no where all of my player's averages are tanking. Sucks because I just got Mantle and can't make solid contact with him to save my life. Felt like the game was taking solid steps forward from where hitting was in April and May, but this is a major step back. Time to retire this game until it's fixed.

Same here. Never had a problem with velocity on Hall of Fame and Legend when playing Ranked, but now im getting gassed by 92mph sinkers on All-Star in the Event.

Yep. I noticed it since Sunday. Saturday it was fine but since then the ball dies and I mostly only see weak hits and occasional homeruns. But sometimes I match against someone that hits everything hard no matter what or where you throw it.... I just can’t understand that. In showdown and in the event I have been hitting weak flys with 115 power guys and constantly have “good” feedback yet the ball is an opposite field fly that goes 200 feet in the air. I’ve noticed several times it says good but I was Definitely late Or early. They need to fix that to say the appropriate feedback.... also they need to change hitting to whatever it was on saturday lol

Bottom line is that rng is effecting outcomes in this game. It’s sad that skill doesn’t mean too much until your in legend. It helps in hof but rng still has its hand in play. They need to use hof pitch speeds u til you hit 900. That will allow the better player to win

Wow this is awesome that I'm not the only one who is having a ton of trouble hitting. I know I'm bad but not so bad that even good perfect perfect contact is just going right at my opponents. When I'm working counts and not swinging at everything.

I played HOF pitching and hitting online and it felt pretty solid ... I don't mind hitting being kinda hard though, I like lower scoring pitchers duels anyway...

I can’t play this game everyday anymore it’s just too inconsistent and the worst experience is when you have a laggy game and your opponent gets breaks it’s frustrating to say the least.
For example i played a game today (first one since Monday) and in the 1st i can already tell what I’m in for. I line out with 2 guys and K with 1.
That’s ok I’ll get em next inning but then my opponent fouls off EVERYTHING until he can get the walk i walk 3 straight hitters then homerun with his walker. The rest of the game was the same story between early hits, check swings w 2 strikes, my well hit balls dying I ended up losing 7-6.

Yep I noticed it too. I went on vacation for a week and came back to all my hitters swinging pool noodles. I have had multiple perfect-perfect flyballs with legends not even make it to the warning track. Balls are not jumping off the bat right now.

I took about a month off came back was having a blast hitting was awesome. Two days later game is back to sucking.

Ive been playing since march and the last week ive been playing DD and i struggle hitting balls over 90 miles an hr? Even with nice to perfect hits with great hitters like 99 George Brett? And even when im using 125 power killibrew i still only hit 425 homers on perfect swings?? They had to nerf something.
