So which collections did you not complete for Trout?

I was happy to not have to complete the diamond prospects and hr derby collections. It was nice not having to do all 60 FotF too, made bank from selling most.

It seems to me that HRD and prime are the worst sets. Maybe that awards set also. The rest are pretty much done just by playing the game.

I had all the cards to do hrd but was able to sell them off instead, likewise i sold a bunch of diamond prospects. I was able to level to prestige 95 while turning these in so I could get the 5 prestige cards.

It looks like Postseason cards BALLOONED in price today! Matthewson was going for 90K at one point.

Post season, Awards, and Topps now. Obviously everyone had to skip topps now

The only one I am not within the realm of getting is the Diamond Prospects. I sold the 5 I had and am officially punting. I cant imagine buying those cards that were 5-10k for what they are going for now. Been a crazy day watching the prices.

I am skipping (not done yet) but HRD, Topps now of course, and prestige. I only have one prestige. I had done a little pre-investing but not a ton, so I had all the prospects I needed (most bought at quicksell value), all the FOTF I needed from TA and others. I only need a few in each category if I want to get Trout. I decided I'm going to wait it out though. I locked in what I had, but will wait to purchase others. Prices just too high right now. And Trout, while I'd like his best card, isn't a guy I NEED to have right now. So, hopefully these market prices get a bit under control sooner than later.

Punted on HRD (had six but though pretty much paid for themselves with the free stubs and pack rewards (bough them all at 5k) and punted on ALL of the prospects as well. Las set I have left to do is the 5 prestige cards (I mostly play offline), but I'll jump online in the event and ranked seasons and grind those out....

I put in a lot of unrelated work into events to prestige my whole lineup. Poor Prestige Gwynn played 2 RS games before losing his spot to Trout.

Yeah I forgot about Prestige. I suck at online play so I'm not doing/ cant do that set.

5 for awards
5 for post season
5 for prime
And the expansive HRD players.I sold all my expensive cards i didn't have saved (Banks, McKay, Kemp i'll get then back eventually so it's fine) and came out with 300k wich is plenty for me to work with.

Future Stars (I needed like 8 more to hit 30, but had enough on other collections) -
I will never ever ever do the prestige set so I'm not going to be getting Trout. Sucks too since I'm an Angels fan and prioritize collecting all their cards. Oh well.
