I think the reward is going to be Randy Johnson too.
If I’m right, that’s going to be filthy, but ridiculously expensive for a long time.

Randy with a 101 mph sinker with 90 mph cutter combo sounds amazing. With 125 H/9 and a slider that sweeps the entire strike zone.

The good thing is that they showed a gold prospect card which is from TA so those should count. I think I sit pretty well as I have 7 of the HRD, 5 Player league, 13 Prospects, 21 All Stars, 18 Breakouts, 23 Vets, 23 Rookies, 13 Postseasons. The Awards, Primes, Sigs, FOTF and Future Stars are where I am lacking. I can not complete the showdowns to save my life so I have done the March to Octobers.
I did buy up some extra guys so I can flip them to the wave of people trying to complete the collection

HRD Stanton has a buy now price of 145k

Pretty obvious the Gold Prospects would count when they updated the existing Prospect collection with a diamond icon.

Looking at how the prices for some of those prospect cards are soaring, I'm tempted to unload a few of those that are now touching 100k

I’d like to have Randy, but the final reward shouldn’t be a pitcher. Needs to be someone that can play every game for you. Pitchers are a luxury but not as valuable. I won’t lock for a Randy Johnson like I would for a Hank Aaron or Clemente.

I’m like you but Have none of the prospects, hrd, or players league cards, but have a ton of signature, awards, and primes but it seems I’m more screwed than you

If it's more than 5, us offline guys are SOL (and I don't mean crew members of the Satellite of Love). They gotta put in a way for offline players to prestige cards, even if it requires more stats than doing it online.
Heck, I'm for doing it anyway, give me something to work towards.

I severely doubt that there will be a set of Prestige cards needed.
I am almost certain that we are "Chasing" a certain # of cards.If the reward is let's say Hank Aaron, you would need to "chase" 2,297 cards to match his career RBI total.
I think a slight majority of the player base is offline. There is ZERO chance SDS will cut out half the player base from a money generator like this.
Don't let the online only guys scare you. -

My best guess is no.
We will be chasing a certain # of unique cards.
Does that mean a prestige card will be worth the same as a Veteran card?
I am not sure.
Don't go crazy, very few people will be able to get the card quickly unless you are willing to dump alot of $$ into the set. Some Youtubers will get him just for content purposes and the top 1% guys will get him for a competitive edge. -
I think there will be "multiple ways" to finish this collection, and that if you are missing something like Prestige (offline players have no shot at this) or Prospects (who's prices are already INSANE) then you may still be able to finish the reward.
Also, expect a SHARK MAP quickly after this is released, with a ton of FREE packs (like all of the prospect packs, and more HRD, and Players league). They will have to do it to get the prices down a bit.....
