Hershiser or Wood?
-
I've used them both but only a couple of times each since I just recently got them. Both have been excellent for me but Woods control can be a little iffy. His stuff is so good though that you get a lot of swing and miss on pitches out of the zone. I can see how a good patient hitter might have some success against him though.
-
I really like both but if I had to pick one I would probably go Hershiser. But both are good and both are in my rotation
-
Wood has been money for me this year on AS. 5-0 and dont think I have only gave up 2-3 runs total.

Sounds like both cards are good. I could also sell Hamels and buy both. Idk.
I already got Hershiser. I'll give him a try after work.
Don't sell Hamels. Top 5 pitcher in game....
-
Depends how like going after batters if you like power pitchers with a a put away curveball then Wood, if you’re more into finesse And hitting the corners then Orel
-
Orel for sure. His sinker is tough to pick up. I got my first ranked seasons no hitter with him. Also had a complete game shutout. He is good. Wood is inconsistent and leaves a lot of pitches over the plate because of the control issues.
-
I would get both, since they're both essentially free. If you have to pick one, I would go with Hershiser. Wood is hard to control.
-
Orel can't be hit hard if you don't mix your curves and change enough with the stinkers... I'm done 2 of the milestones the 1st k's and 1st innings with him... 4.50 era mostly on all star... I struggled with him firstbfew games last few have been solid.. On all star I'd you play someone who's patient etc he will let quite a few runs.. Wood is solid, just the control

I tend to like control SPs and then bring in power pitchers out of the pen.
I'm usually pretty good at hitting power pitchers, though it may take time to adjust to them. Once I have the timing down I can sit fastball and I start to rally. I feel like good hitters will have an easier ti.e with Wood, especially with his control problems.
I usually prefer command pitchers as starters and then flamethrowers out of the pen to change pace. I bought Orel. Looking forward to trying him after work.

I would highly suggest the 99 John Smoltz over Oreal & Wood .

12 hours ago I just pitched 8 inning of a shutout in ranked with Orel, he also struck out 15 batters!
-
What a ranked debut I just had with Hershiser. 8 shut out innings with a solo blast to left field off Kluber.

wonderful feeling
i had a solid game last night, feller unbelievable as usual 7 IP 0 era 10K's no reason to take him ever out of my pen
-
The answer is BOTH and just throw Kluber in the trash
-
orel is such a beast, just pitched a complete gm shut out with him n 19 KS,my opponent had 4 hits but 3 of em were bloopers
-
I haven't tried Wood yet but Hershiser is solid i got lit up 1 game with him but that was my own fault I got predictable and I say lit up but it wasn't bad i only gave up 6, and it was against a joke player he kept pausing and holding R2 or calling time and i let it get to me but by first 4 games with him I got 3 wins and a no decision (9) innings of 2 run ball got walked off in the 11th. One of the wins was a No No. Just wish they had kept his 4 seem but then he'd be un touch able
-
- Keep Hamels!! He's my best pitcher! I've had better luck with Wood than Orel but haven't given up on Orel yet.

I got rocked with Kulber last time I used him, though I shut everybody down with Hersh and Hamels. I think I'll buy Wood too and slide Kluber down to my 4th spot.
Nearly threw a perfect game with Hamels. He gave up 2 hits. A pop up to second that Cano glitched and wouldnt lock on to, and a bunt single up the first base line on some fluky fielding.

I’ve used Orel a few times and he’s been lights out. And I faced him a couple times and really struggled to pick up his pitches
