when will patch updates stop ?

I'm not sure but I've been playing the show since the beginning but I'm pretty sure that at some point they will stop improving the game with patches and this years game " is what it is " does anyone know when that will be ? cause if online game play does not improve dramatically I will sell game for best price I can get to some sucker who has no idea what they're getting into and wait for madden . this game is the show's worse version ever . and probably my last . also not sure if I will buy ps5. just for madden .

They're not done, usually they go for a long while patching stuff up.... Game needs more patches for sure...

When they realize gameplay is incorrigible and they need to focus on getting preorders locked in for 2021

But oh boy does madden have it way worseMadden needs a total overhaul, they should just go back to the old PS2 engine and polish it up, it was so much smoother and funner to play back then, players didn't run like they have sticks up there azzzis... And don't even get me started with the stupid animation that suck you into the play regardless of what you do, and the tackling... OMG .... EA needs competition, I"m hoping like hell the NFL stops giving EA sole rights to the NFL license, they're hurting video game football and have been for years...

Funny because everyone here wants them to get baseball. It’s just a fact, no one is ever happy with how a game plays. Everyone thinks it should be tuned to their exact style or skill set. Gets old and annoying tbh.

I"m happy with MVP 2005 ... I"m happy with the Show 17, I"m happy with Tecmo Bowl .... I"m happy with Madden 2007-08 Original Xbox and PC back when they used the PS2 game engine... I'm happy with NBA 2k11... I"m happy with Tiger 12, with NHL 94 ... So I wouldn't say were always unhappy with the games, but Madden today is a total joke of a game, it plays terrible football, you get stuck in forced animations, they run like they have sticks up there #% ... They cut and move like robots side to side, the tackling is lazy, unrealistic physics that make no sense... EA simply does not make good sports game anymore... Go back and play the PS2 game engine with Madden and look how much smoother it runs, and that was a LONG time ago now.... EA's only hope of keeping Madden alive is the exclusive contract, otherwise Madden would have the same fate as NBA Live ...

EA would totally do better, yes they would monetize the heck out of it hut the gameplay would easily be better. And MLBTS is already monetized enough. Enough to make gameplay crappy, that is. Yes you can get good cards easily in several ways. But the gameplay has been watered down so much over then years in order to get the MtX and sales they do get.
NBA Live was always enjoyable to me, moreso than 2k, and LUT has always been a lot less MTX heavy and generous compared to FUT and MUT (because it tried to get a player base). I will definitely preorder when it comes back on Next gen. I think EA’s baseball title would be similar, until it overthrows MLBTS them the greed would show up there too.
Look, I just tried playing my 3rd RS game in a few days and had to friendly quit a 0-0 game in the 13th just because the game sucks so bad. I Would’ve rather watched paint dry at that moment.

Have you played madden? There is no user control. It’s completely animations to make the game scripted. Not to mention did you watch the madden challenge this year? The guy who won ran the ball every single play and used a punter for a QB. You really call that good gameplay? The show could use some work but madden is way worse.

Haven’t bought Madden since I played strictly offline and “couch vs“. I did play a bit on a EA Access trial, but couldn’t honestly attest to how bad it really is.
But the same way veteran hardcore fans of Madden trash it for gameplay declining over the years is the same way I feel about the show. It’s easier to see flaws and criticize when you know the game well and know how the game “should” play or could play.
Long story short is, I now find several other games provide more engaging, immersive, rewarding and competitive than the Show. They need to turn it around, and hopefully soon with a hitting/gameplay patch.
