    Biebig2010s,

    Thanks for continuing these Masterpieces.

I am in the process of combining some of your Rosters. First off with Your All Time Greats as the overall Base Roster I am moving all players from your 50s-60s roster, that don't already exist in the Base All Time Greats, into it. Thus far I am only 6 Teams deep into it and have moved over 120 players.

I am replacing the players I am least familiar with in the Base All Time Greats roster with these 50s-60s players.

I am NOT making any other changes what so ever but rather ONLY performing the movement of players from one of your rosters to another.

Once completed I will upload it to the Vault with a Name similar to something like "Biebig2010s All Time Greats and 50s-60s Combined" with All Credit to You in the Description of this file.

After this project I will begin to move select non-existing players from your 70s-80s into this Roster and Name it accordingly. Likely will do the same with your other Rosters over time.

Hope this meets your approval as it truly is nothing other than a tremendous tribute to your talents and magnificent contributions to this community over these years.

This newly formed Roster is a Pure Treasure for running a Franchise Fantasy Draft.

Thanks Again & Please let me know if you have any issue with this project,
    Don

Thanks for the compliments folks, I appreciate it.

I’m glad you like the rosters, feel free to use them as you’d like, that’s why I upload them to the vault.

I’m looking forward to playing a few games with the 1900 to 1929 teams as I create them. Old school to say the least.

When I finish the 1900-1929 roster I think I’ll create one more roster with the best team for each franchise spanning from 1900-2019. Lots of tough decisions on what teams to use though... for example: 1998 or 1927 Yankees?

Great!!! Really looking forward to the next 2 rosters. It will be tough. I'm a rockies fan, not too tough. Of course 75 reds and surprisingly have been watching stories of the stl browns and find them very interesting but probably not the choice over 60s orioles. Lots of fun!!

    biebig2010,

Working with your rosters as mentioned earlier BUT if I execute a fantasy draft certain players are not available in the draft.

Two examples are Christy Mathewson & Juan Marichal.

I have tried several things to get them into the draft but nothing seems to allow them in. I imagine there are several other players with this issue as well and was just wondering if you had any ideas on how I may correct this situation.

They are available, however, as Free Agents once into Spring Training.

    Thanks, Don

I haven't run into that issue. I'll try a fantasy draft in the next few days and see if I have the same problem with those players.

Are you using my ALL TIME GREATS roster as I uploaded it or is this a roster of mine that you have been modifying?

@stecropper I tried a fantasy draft with my ALL TIME GREATS roster and for some reason Mathewson and Marichal aren't available in the draft. I looked at those two players in particular and don't see anything in any of their settings that would make them any different than any other player.

I don't have an answer as to why they are excluded from the fantasy draft.

Me neither --- but I have discovered that they are typically signed as the season progresses. Weird thing is "IF" I wished to be less than fair I could pick them both up the 1st day of spring training. But in my franchise I let the computer handle all that stuff.

So, I was concerned with it all but now discovering how they are eventually signed makes it all OK for me.

I am 17 teams into merging every player from Your '50s-'60s roster into Your All Time Greats. I will eventually attempt to replace all "EXTRA" type players in the roster's Free Agency but that will likely be accomplished once I start merging in Your '70s-'80s players as Version 2 of these mergers since I discovered those a little late in the process.

Thanks Once Again Bigbig2010 --- Your rosters are truly magnificent !
    Don

Would love to see the 95 Mariners, that team was fun to watch .... Also, when I think of the greatest teams of all time... The 98 Yankees man, that team was STACKED !!

The 2001 Mariners had a lot more wins than the 95 Mariners so I went with the 2001 team over the 95 team.

I agree the 98 Yankees were one of the best teams of all time. The 27 Yankees were one of the best teams of all time too though. In fact, the 27 Yankees had a .714 winning percentage compared to a .704 winning percentage for the 98 Yankees. Hell, the 1939 Yankees rank right up there too with a .702 winning percentage. And who can forget the 1961 Yankees. They won at a .673 clip.

Lots of tough choices for the greatest teams of all time for each franchise.

Curious. Are you leaning towards the 1919 white sox and what about the giants.

OH no doubt the 2001 M's were the choice for the better overall team, I just thought that 95 team was more exciting in terms of offensive fire power, Griff, Edgar, Tino, Buhner, a young Arod was a great combo.... M's ownership BLEW IT in the mid 90's ... M"s could a won a title with that team had they kept Tino and improve the pitching, but they did the opposite... Yankees benefited from that... Would be cool to see historic teams playable someday, like old school Madden games...

Just Uploaded "Biebig2010s merged ATGs 50s60s" Roster.

It is every player from your '50s-'60s Roster Set moved into your All Time Greats Roster Set that wasn't there already. A total of 494 Players were moved.

This creates a fantastic Roster for use in a Franchise Fantasy Draft scenario.

I have long been an admirer of Your Rosters and wanted to create something that is more to my liking to use in a Franchise Fantasy Draft.

Nothing was changed what-so-ever with ONLY Player Movement/Replacement taking place.

I think this has created a Grand Roster for us Classic Roster Guys that go back to the '50s & '60s combined with many of the Pre-50s and Post-60s Star Players included.

Thanks Again for your unsurpassed contributions to this Classic Community,
    Don

Yes, the 1919 White Sox. They didn’t win the World Series but they should have. The 1917 team had a better winning percentage and win the World Series but the 1919 team is the most famous (or is that infamous).

As far as Giants are concerned I’m currently leaning toward the 54 Giants.

Willie Mays vs Christie Mathewson. Two of my absolute favorites. Hard to forget Musial and Joltin Joe. When i was little I loved the Grover Cleveland Alexander movie with Reagan, therefore really liked Rogers Hornsby. My dad being from Cincinnati and telling me all the stories of going to Crosley field in 1919 when he was 7 and thru the 20s was only beaten when he took me to Crosley in the early 60s and saw Robinson and Pinson and Rose who was a rookie going up against Chris Short of the Phillies. Loved the Reds and hated the 61 Yankees. What a team them [censored] Yankees were!!

I finished the HISTORIC ROSTER 1900-1929 and uploaded it to the vault.

Note: I ended up creating the 1912 Giants instead of the 1905 Giants.

I'm going to create one more roster for this version of MLBTS. It will be the HISTORIC ROSTER 1900-2019 and will include the top team / most famous team for each franchise between 1900-2019. The following teams will be included:

    BAL 1970
    BOS 2004
    NYY 1927
    TB 2008
    TOR 1992

    CWS 1919
    CLE 1954
    DET 1984
    KC 1985
    MIN 1991

    HOU 2017
    LAA 2002
    OAK 1990
    SEA 2001
    TEX 2010

    ATL 1995
    MIA 1997
    NYM 1986
    PHI 2008
    WASH/MON 1994

    CHC 1906
    CIN 1975
    MIL 1982
    PIT 1909
    STL 1967

    ARI 2001
    COL 2007
