Catcher not throwing when opponent steals

Never happened to me until about a week ago. I have button accuracy so you’d think just hitting it once would bring up the accuracy meter.

This has been happening to me a lot over the past week or so I would say. Seems like the timing from when you press the button to throw is a little different than what it used to be. I'll see the runner stealing as I throw the pitch and when I press the button for my catcher to throw he just holds on to the ball. I was playing last night and my opponent stole just about every time he got on. I started realizing if I press the throw button a little bit later than when I normally would my catcher would throw. Once I kind of figured that out I actually threw him out stealing a few times. I don't know if something in the timing has been changed but that's what it seems like to me. It's definitely frustrating though when guys are stealing left and right and you can't even get a throw off with your catcher.

It’s been ridiculous. Just another reason this game is a dumpster fire.

No excuse for this at all... Been happening to me too, I have been vocal about it in a couple of threads for over a week now.

It's weird, it was a problem when the game first came out, then it was fixed, then it became unfixed again after the previous patch

I have yet to get a throw meter in the event. Somehow every opponent Ill steal on is able to come up gunning though.. 🧐

Let me know if anyone knows a fix. Ive been having to be so much more strategical trying to stop steals the last week. Its a game in and of itself lately. No meter is hard.

If we all file bug reports maybe we can get their attention. This has been happening to me as well. Just filed my bug report on it

You basically have to double tap the throw button for the meter to to pop up, the second the pitch hits your catcher's glove, double tap triangle for example to pull up the throw meter for second base. I have found this to be the only way to make it work for me.

Yep it's happening to me as well. It's also been happening against the CPU. No matter what I do, the [censored] catcher won't throw the ball lol.

Happening to me as well. But I've also gotten a couple steals that I probably shouldn't have because my opponent cannot throw to second.

I've heard people say this but I have not experienced it yet

As a temporary fix, if you slide step, you will get a meter.
