Someone help me out? I’m ofer this year. I’d say about 98% of the time my OF doesn’t even scale the wall, but dives or some other mess.

I've robbed a few, but everytime it has been with a speedy diamond defense. I think I did it with Mickey, Victorino, and Gwynn. Reggie Jackson and Sheffield just barrel into the wall head first like Bobby Bushay

If you're saying he’s actually diving and not even jumping, make sure you have jump and dive set to two different buttons. L1 is jump L2 is dive.

Watching Griffey do it is a thing of beauty. It’s all about timing though. I’d say your OF needs diamond defense as well

    Woah, L1/L2? I’ve been using R1/R2. I wouldn’t think L1 would do anything except preload a cut

Oops. You’re absolutely right, my bad. I wonder if the original poster’s issue was that he didn’t have the jump and dive option set to two buttons.

Can’t you also jump with the right thumb stick? That seems more intuitive as I sometimes confuse the two jump/dive buttons.

Watched a guy's video last night on YouTube that says he gets his players to turn around and face the ball before jumping... but that was in 19 and on RTTS it looked like. Thoughts?
