I’m so glad we got rid of David Price. It was almost worth losing Mookie just to get rid of Price as a part of the package.
-
Saw that Freeman tested positive, a couple other Braves guys along with him, I think. Doesn't bode well for the Braves this shortened season, but hopefully he'll recover in time. And as much as I despise the Yankees, it's never pretty when a player gets hurt, especially the way that Tanaka did. Praying he's ok!
-
Will Smith was one of the other Braves.
-
Man, I read that and didn't even think of Corona. Legit thought Freeman tested positive for steroids for a sec. Raced to Google and everything.. what a different time we are in.
So what you guys think? Baseball this season or nah?
-
DJ Lemaihu tested positive too.
-
According to Tanaka’s social media, he is fine and looking forward to pitching again soon.
-
I think baseball is going to happen. They can't just go back now, with all the negotiations and the beef with Manfred. I'm sure they're not going to mess around if players test positive, given a quarantine system they have in place already.
On the bright side, should stars test positive and be forced into quarantine, it'll give rooks the chance to be called up and show their stuff.

I think all the big 4 will have to cancel (nfl delay). America has done a great job following guidelines and preventing spread. Lets take it a step further at the worst time and all travel around the country

They're changing the schedule so that teams will not have to travel across the country to play each other. Teams are going to play teams that are in their division more often than teams outside their division, and interleave games are changed so that teams will pay their interleague counterparts more often.
Take the Tigers for instance. They'll play the Indians, Royals, White Sox, and Twins more often. For interleague games, they're more likely to play against the Reds, Pirates, and Cubs.

He opted out from the season. His contract runs through 2022.

Yeah but that’s not the Red Sox problem any more. They gave him a stupid contract and we’re lucky to escape any of it. While in Boston, his attitude was terrible. He also takes approximately a billion years to pitch 6 innings of a game. Aside from THAT postseason performance (Which he owed us at least that much, given his bloated contract), he wasn’t a good deal for us going into the later stages of his contract, but he was too expensive to move on for what he offered in return. I personally never found him likeable as a person or player during his time with Boston.

My bad. aaaaaagain. I thought the comment was coming from a Dodger perspective.

Ah, no worries. As I say I was sad to see Mookie leave, but Price kinda sweetened the sour grapes a little lol.

He had a bad attitude with Detroit too, almost like he never wanted to be there.

Tigers fan here. I don't miss him at all, either! His attitude just didn't fit with the team, didn't scream "Detroit". It screamed, "I'm only on the mound in Comerica because I'm being paid to pitch from it."
-
Nationals/Astros are among 4 teams that have canceled their workouts for today and very possibly longer. I hope this doesn't affect the season any further.

Mets and then Sox fan here. Maybe he'll come back?

Doubt it. Random question as you’re a Mets fan, do you have FOTF Lieter yet and if so, do you think he’s any good?

I don't have him. I spend no money on the game so it's a slow haul. I did however get the HRD Alonso. Amazing.

Question, how is this "no fights" rule that they've got for the shortened season supposed to be implemented? Because if some players still have the Astros sign stealing stuff fresh in their minds, then there are going to be some HBPs.
