The lag made the whole game challenging. You know, baserunners not stopping, fielders jumping back and forth, etc.
I wasn’t saying I was entitled to a win because of scoring four in the first. I guess my point could have been made without any game details.

It's the responsibility of the game developers to adapt online content to all connection speeds. Players shouldn't be shunned because they only have one option for internet where they live. A big step forward would be to eliminate p2p.

They need to incorporate a way to see your opponent's connection.

Whether it's ping based or how EA does in Madden lobbies. (Where the color of the bar by the player's GT shows how strong/weak of a connection they are on.)

    That would be very welcome.

Eliminate p2p yes but not to invest in cheap servers like ea did with their games.

I have been caught a couple times turning a single into a double or a double into a triple because my screen showed the ball going past the defender. Only to find out if lagged for a second and all of a sudden OF has the ball and throwing it in while Im only halfway to the base...I tend to see it on the defensive side more often, I have seen it in pitching a couple times. I literally had the ball freeze halfway to the plate, then unfreeze and it was a strike and I had no idea what was going on lol. Oh well, it is what it is but still a very fun game.

This can be extremely tough, when they throw a pitch, there's a huge delay, and then the pitch finishes.

Your timing gets thrown way off, and it can often benefit the lagger.

I purposely make sure that I can toggle through the starting lineups (before the game even starts) without any lag. If it hitches at all, in the slightest, I bounce and search again.

I'm running a direct connection at 100 down/10 up and I can't even imagine trying to play this game with a wireless connection.

That means you always play at home, because if you're not that slight hitch is always gonna be there in some form.

    Yep. Exactly.

I'm not about to put up with horrible connection. Give me a mostly smooth experience or nothing.
