Checking In: Locking In the FOTF Cards Is Dumb, Right?

I'm tempted to lock in these FOTF players for the XP, but that seems ridiculous. It's good XP but maybe only the equivalent of 5 or 6 Showdown wins.
But am I missing something? Is there any reason to do this collection right now?

I'm personally not going to lock them in unless we need it for some crazy card like the Honus collection last year. That's way too much stubs to lock up

I sold both Mattingly and Evans before the flash sales today to prepare, and sold Thome for 35k after i fell to 5k after the last flash sale (which was Banks for me) so i would say just sell them for now.

Its nuts to lock them in now. If there is a need for a larger collection, then yes, do it then. The reward for locking in that much sellable inventory right now isnt worth it.

I personally don’t think you will need all 60 for a potential collection. Maybe 40 or 45. 60 is a tall task

Honus was meant to be a tall task.
Plus they'll want those stubs out of circulation. Every buy cuts off 10%.
They want people buying and selling those TA cards as much as possible now.

But you do get a 5 ballin packs for getting all 60, and that’s 5 guaranteed trouts right there.

I sold the first few I got to finish the LS collection but at this point unless you get one of the 50k guys I would just hold them unless there is something specific you need stubs for. Im not locking anyone in yet just holding onto them in case.
