Just bought a monitor

I bought an acer 27inch with 1ms response time and in loving it. It is taking awhile for me to get used to actually being able to see the ball I'm early on everything. Does anyone having any suggestion on the best settings to maximize its performance

Oh man yeah, when I switched to a monitor from my TV it was a game changer. I was early on everything which took some adjusting, but I got better. Still an average player at this game, but loving it. Rubbish internet connections means I don't bother with online versus games much though.

Haha what sucks is i was so excited to jump on and play some RS with the new monitor and I got 2 lost connection losses in a row talk about a buzz kill. Not sure why it does this sometimes I have 100mgps up and down

I thought the whole point of a monitor was to reduce lag (or whatever) that occurs during online/versus/H2H games. What's the point of purchasing a monitor to play against the CPU exactly? Am I missing something?

I have some near 200 dollar Benqs that are 144hz (Mainly used for playing on PC), but it's really nice and now I have to accept that I'm doodoo at small PCI movements instead of blaming the game or lag

I don't need a monitor to tell me I suck at PCI placement. lol
I just need to turn into a "center swinger". Or try kontrol freeks.

That's a terrible monitor. You should return it and do some homework via Google before buying

I did research it and all of the reviews were very good. It had all the same specs as a benq. I actually played on a benq at a friends house and I cant tell a difference between the two

Bro it’s a good monitor lol I’ve made WS with it multiple times, don’t let him get to you. No need to get a better one until the ps5 comes out.

To be honest with you I didn’t really set anything besides default game mode on. I thought about messing around with it but I’m also a believer in that if I’m winning, why change it? Lol let me know how it works for you!

Gotta set your PS to 5GHZ. Only works with slim models and up. I got about 40.less wins than I should before Google search. Havent been kicked in 3 weeks.

I already had a monitor in the house, not a specific gaming one, but it does the trick. Could be a placebo effect, but I do think it helps me CPU play and the odd online game I do. Hoping for a better internet connection soon.
