Mike Piazza will always be a Dodger
You’re right, he single handedly lifted the spirits of 80000 people in LA, many more than in NY in an otherwise meaningless September game. Oh and he led LAD to 5 playoff appearances and 3 WS rather than the 2/1 in NY.

Piazza took the Dodgers to the WS? When?

Hey, I thought personal attacks were against Terms of Service.

Never. Better stats as a Met, enshrined in the HOF as a Met. U can dream and see what u see, but we all know, he will be forever known as a New York Met

While I'm confident that Carter never took a
to his rear, this 99 card definitely did.

Looks nice but I don’t see myself removing Posey from C for him.
He was one of only four captains in our teams entire history. If you can afford him, not starting him over bust my leg Posey is blasphemy.

Piazza is a Met period! He loved NY and is still a big part of the franchise. LA was a pit stop for his greatness. The HR against the Braves after 9/11 cemented his legacy as a NY sports icon. I even cried that night when baseball returned and he blasted a bomb to help heal our great city, country.
He’s a Met, period! -

Please hand over your name and logo immediately lol
What beef could you possibly have with Franco? A native New Yorker, who grew up a Mets fan, and played his a$$ off for us! Explain yourself please....

Think he was very overrated but I am a young Mets fan so I saw him at end of career and his hatred for Scott Kazmir

How can you say he is overrated when he has more saves than any other lefty EVER. He’s the ALL TIME saves leader for left handers!
Granted you may have only seen him towards the end but you can still educate and appreciate what he did for his whole career.
And all true Mets fans have a little hatred for Kazmir lol

And a Met.
His biggest moment happened as a Met. He made a WS as a Met.
He became 'Metal Mike' doing the Eddie Trunk shows as a Met.
His best years were with LA, but he made himself as a Met.
LFGM. -
This thread hurts my head..Gary Carter is gonna be awesome..everyone and their brother has Posey, is that fun? Using the same players as everyone else?
John Franco - Awesome but made you sweat
Gary Carter - Heart was always in NY and he wanted to go into Hall as a Met
Mike Piazza - Was a better all around hitter in LA then NY, but he was pretty close outside of AVG. he meant a lot to NY and NY meant a lot more to him. The Relationship Piazza has with my generation of Mets fans and even my fathers generation is uncanny and nothing I’ve ever really felt with any other player maybe outside David Wright.Either way LFGM!!!!
