You throw in the fact that they added his stance to the game and it seems like a good fit. Possibly too good though, maybe jut trying to throw us off?

I don't think Manny could be a 99. His defense just sucked so badly and he had zero value on the bases..
If you just let Manny be Manny, he will be a 99.

I think 99's is hinting at 1999....Walker, Thome, Pedro, Manny, Chipper, Bagwell, Vizquel, .........Jeter were at the top.

Jeter will be coming next year as a pre-order player. He will sell copies by himself, so that's why he will be pre-order.

Chipper and Pudge won MVPs in 99 while Pedro and Big Unit took home the Cy Young. It's hard to believe Pedro or Johnson wouldn't have been in the preorder marketing though.

Billy Williams was a 97 or 98 last year and he didn’t have good defense or speed. Just a good bat is all. Not even one of the better bats either.

Julio Franco. Pretty sure he was "99" years old when he played his last MLB season.
