Spending stubs right now is a bad idea

Yeah, this weekend was a huge influx of stubs for working the Jackie Robinson and Fathers Day programs. Plus everything tanked. I filled out the players league and the prospect collections but didn’t lock them in. I have more than 100k in stubs too and probably another 25k in sell orders on some LS diamonds I’m selling that I expect expecting to bounce back a little. Pulled 2 diamonds, Story and Realmuto, out of that five pack BIAH bundle (Jackie program?). Good weekend overall. I’ve got a lot of stubs/cards that are kind of liquid, just waiting to find out how to use them.

I pulled Cole and sold him to get Adell. As an Angels fan I don't care that he was 170k.

Yeah I’m not paying them crazy prices for Banks or chapman I’ll wait .more chapman for bullpen help as it stand he looks like the best reliever in the game banks looks nice but I’m not taking my CAP out for him rather save myself 180k stubs. These are some of the first 99s/end game cards so of course they gonna be expensive/inflated I’ll wait and see what the landscape looks like in 2-3 weeks from now.

What ratings should you stack up on in anticipation of TA3? I've seen people say 72s or 73s and others say 78s or 79s. If I'm focused on a specific team should I just load up on those ratings of cards from that division?

Low 70s is more economical than high 70s currently.

You gotta ask you what your Tolerance and value for time invested is though. For many, buying 78/79 cards where it takes 1/3 of the time to purchase ( depending on how many you are buying) May be the better Play even if it costs you a bit more stubs ( Lord knows my time is worth more than the difference).

I am completely broke but the pleasure of using Chapman is too great for me to sell even at 200k. I can live with it since his stats are so strong he will be the best lefty for the rest of the game cycle unless they give Wagner outlier AND a sinker.

Is Cincy Chapman "lights out"!?

Think Wagner would get outlier? Close call.
He throw 101 mph in games, so yeah.

His AS card didn't get it.

So does Kopech, for a fraction of the price, with better control.

What do you guys think about some of the less expensive cards? I'm holding Victorino (40k), Greinke (30k), and Hamels (45k).
Hamels especially, has been dominant for me in ranked. A well timed change up makes people look silly.

his LS series is completely lights out - i remember paying like 27K stubs for him early in the year, never took him out, he has an under 0.55 ERA after over 50 IP online mostly in AS difficulty

Prime, signature, or awards cards will always get an updgrade. So regarding his future card which you are questioning, I guarantee it will!

Correction, my man:
Spending Stubs on the high priced cards that cost 130K+ is a bad move. Just looking around how quickly and how drastically high priced cards go from going for 150-200K to 60-70K only a few weeks later.
If you're looking for examples, look to Matt Kemp. He was going for just short of 200K -- I bought him for around 170K and ended up selling him for around 110K. Now he's going for like 60K. So many cards have had that happen to them this year already.
