Will you keep playing if the 2020 season gets the axe?
-
I finally just got fed up with Madden a couple months ago and stopped playing. I can actually get some degree of pleasure in H2H, so I will keep playing for the next couple months at least even w/o an MLB season.
-
Absolutely, I love the game.
-
I can’t play this years game like I have previous iterations. I’ve always liked this franchise and wanted it to succeed, but I’m at a loss with the gameplay this year. I’m way behind on all programs and missions in comparison to previous years because I find it such a chore to play. Maybe it’s me, but I’ve never really had an experience like this before. I’ll continue to force myself to play and grind out the rest of the year in some fashion, but it’s not dependant on the lack of a MLB season, it’s just how much gameplay I can stand in order to unlock cards before time runs out.

I anything I will play more. I love baseball and this game helps fill the void missing from no live games.
-
I like playing MLB the show more than watching baseball, so absolutely.

Same, but NHL instead of Madden. I think EA as a whole has really dropped the ball with all their ultimate team modes in the last couple years. I get that packs are their bread and butter on making money, but everything is so obviously designed to remove coins from the game and make all your purchases untradeable that it's hard not to give EA the finger now for treating it's fan base so poorly.
Top that off with the terrible content no one wants and the fact that the games play like absolute trash now and you'll see why there's so many year-after-year loyalists who've thrown in the towel really early.
MLB too has it's flaws, don't get me wrong. But the content is at least been pretty good the last couple years, and compared to anything EA does this game feels miles better.

Yeah, I think I'm just about done with the DD, I enjoyed it the first year I played it but every year since I've played about half as much as the previous year. They need to put some time into franchise, RTTS, etc instead if everything going to DD or I think I'm going to become a once every few years buyer of this game and I've played it for a long time.

Hard to say. Ive been taking breaks that started out as a day and now Im taking off a full week. It doesnt matter what I do I cant hit. 8 hits in my last 5 games. I got no hit where I struck out 8 times. That means somehow I was able to put 19 balls in play with out getting a hit. THat the biggest thing that will keep me from playing
-
I can think of many reasons to stop playing this game, but the MLB season taking place or not is most certainly not one.
-
This makes no sense. People have been playing for 3 months with no season why would they stop playing if the 2020 season is cancelled?
-
Probably, but I don't think I'd buy 21 for sure.
Honestly they shouldnt put out 21 till there is an actual season played.
-
Love baseball so will keep playing regardless

Actually, I'm awful at RS and I judge a successful game by whether or not I get hits vice Wins and Losses; i'm averaging 6 per game an STILL undisciplined at the plate online. On the other hand, I don't really play enough RS; I wish there was a noob-league where are pitches are in the zone, then move up to full-blown RS. I believe there are 3x the people who fit this category than people qualified for World Series. I say keep at it, since you're making contact.

Actually if real life starts up, I will probably play LESS... I will be watching actual baseball and focused on winning another Fantasy Championship.

I have played about 300 rs games so far this year. but I am bellow .500. Thats the only silver lining I can find is that you would think eventually your hits would come.
