Headliners are boring this year

Is it just me, or have almost all the headliners been super boring this year? I remember being excited by probably 80% of them last year. But this year?? Jake McGee? Michael Brantley? Matt Wieters? Pablo Sandoval? A bunch of FS lamewads? Uninteresting low-90s dorkwads? I’m just sick of all these wads. On the rare occasion I buy HL packs, I’m actually hoping for LS diamonds and not the headliners.
That is all.
They're all BOOTY Cheeks.
The only players from the Market I have on my team are Pearson, Dibble and Rodney. Felix too if he counts, but he was earned, not bought.

Actually Weiters was a headliner a few weeks ago at the same time the ducks on a pond packs came out.

He wasn’t? I know I pulled and sold Wieters, and I was 99% sure it was from a HL pack. I don’t think it was the Ducks pack because I chose Salvador Perez in that one.

No he was a headliner for sure. There were 10 diamonds that came out that Friday. 8 ducks on a pond, the headliner (Weiters) and I believe a player program (Vizquel)

yep lackluster the whole year you can feel is just a write off SDS has done poorly this year that being said we will keep chipping away
the less i play the more i find that the games i do play i enjoy more

Hayward has been a fun HL. Weird seeing him actually have pop in this game when it doesn't translate to real life.

My guess is SDS justifies it by saying "will give you 2 headliners a week instead of 1" but I agree the problem is most of these headliners have been forgettable at best. Sure there have been a few that have been fun (Kemp, Cabrera, Dibble, Franco) but I'm ready to see a 99 headliner. At least most of last years headliners were fun and some were even exciting. It's time we saw a great headliner.

I agree, 2 out of every 3 headliners are lame. They either need to lower the price or boost the card. But Dibble is arguably the best reliever and Matt Kemp is great

Schnauzer I love your face but I don’t like how many times the word wad was used in a post which includes Pablo Sandoval’s name. That Panda is close to my heart.
But other than that, yes I agree.

It’s cool that different cards are getting these high overalls, like it’s nice to have a 96 Brantley that you usually don’t see. But at the same time you’re right. None of them are exciting in any way. I remember when McGee came out it was just kinda like ...what?

No he's not, he was released the same day as the duck pack, but he was a headliner.

I kind of agree. The only Headliners that made me quickly scramble to the market were Matt Kemp and Vida Blue.
Yeah, there have been some pretty cool ones like Matt Wieters, Jake McGee, Jason Heyward, Miguel Cabrera, and of course we got Rob Dibble. I will say that I'm strongly considering that Pablo Sandoval. I always seem to rake with his cards, in fact his 85 overall Flashback in TS19 was my catcher until SS Johnny Bench and Finest JT Realmuto and Yasmani Grandal came out.
