Harassment?

The thing is that you don't know why people pause the game. Maybe people have legitimate cause like a kid or a pet who all of a sudden causes distractions after you just started a game. I'm not saying people don't pause just to be annoying, but you can never prove it and therefore people will also never be banned for it.
If something is making you that distracted, why even play? I would get my [censored] handed to me if I was distracted to the point where I would pause every pitch in every inning. The guy was trying to mess with him, which is Bush league.

Exactly my thoughts. Overall I try to finish any game I play (unless the connection is so bad I can’t play then I’ll quit).

I think they should ban users who say "beam" instead of bean.

What if it’s a Star Trek reference and they think they are getting beamed up to first base?
-
Well that’s obviously acceptable. Lol.

Well in regards to your off topic comment. I’ve heard both used in regards to a player being hit. Not that it really matters.
-
I played baseball for over 20 years at a highly competitive level and have never, ever, ever, ever, ever heard someone say beamed for HBP. If you have heard it I'd say it was one time and had to be by someone who had no idea what they were talking about.
-
Can't ban someone for using the pauses the game gives them they need to lessen the clock, because it's excessive having that much pause time in an online H2H game. No other game I've played let's you pause this much. No ban for someone pausing though... Just a loss if they exceed their half hour a game of pausing.
-
I have no issues with someone pausing but pausing to throw your timing off you just to annoy you so you quit need to be forced to watch reggie's or Didi no doubt home run trot.

Well it must depend on the location someone is in. I too played and coached for over 20 years. To be honest I’ve heard them both. Have I heard “beaned” more often? Maybe so but I have also heard “beaming” used as well. Like I said maybe it depends on the location and the slang terms that are used.
Thanks for you opinion! I appreciate it.

For the record. I never suggested that they should be banned. I said some are banned for certain posts on here and I asked if there should be some form of penalty for their actions. I also stated that you can report a player for harassment and was just wondering if people thought doing that was a form of harassment.

no, no no.
The term comes from slang for head "bean". A bean ball is a ball thrown at your bean (head), but is used for all body parts.

Really? I know that. There’s a reason behind the 2 L’s. And there’s no reason to explain that here.

Well no matter what the bean stands for doesn’t take away the fact that I’ve heard both terms. I agree that I’ve heard “bean” used. I’m not disagreeing with you on that.

I only pause to take a dump.

I love the amount of pause time in this game. If you think about a rough inning late in the game, both players are making subs and changing defenses, that takes time to get right and each AB can change what each player does next. I’ve seen people nearly go thru 3 minutes legitimately in a competitive late inning.

@PUIG66RULES said in Harassment?:
This is why the clock should not have time added to it.
Exactly they just need better [censored] pause rules

How often does that scenario come around?!
