Time to start releasing some of the players people buy the game for

Couldn’t agree more. Gameplay issues aside, MLB 19 was just more exciting as sn all around experience. It seems like probably 75% of the headliners, rewards, bosses, player programs, etc last year were well-received. This year? There have been 26 headliners, and I probably couldn’t even name 5 of them.
Last year, the live streams were such a great way to drum up excitement. Not to be a total Nancy over here, but 2019 was a terrible year for me on a personal level, but I have really, really happy memories of watching the live streams and getting psyched about new content. Those were some good times.
Honestly, there is no excuse for not having streams this year. The entire world has figured out how to use Zoom. If a technology company that employees a bunch of computer geeks can’t figure out how to stream on Zoom, then they should just close up shop and admit defeat. And, as someone who works in marketing, I feel like they absolutely need a LOT more community interaction to help get people excited. Jacoby Ellsbury in June doesn’t exactly sell itself. Do something to involve the community ... anything! When they silently drop their weak content this year, it’s like they’re squeaking out a quiet, rancid, disappointing fart in church.
I miss 19.

Yeah, yeah I thought 4th inning was the worst so far, and this streak of low power bats for player programs has been beyond annoying. They only release the good players for packs. And now they finally put the Foster card as a WS reward, since I am never going to make WS, I guess I will never get Mantle.

Let Madison loose. Let the big horse run. @SDS_Jax @Collin_SDS

Trevor Story plz

Stop dropping rookie and post season versions of potential 99 players 4 months into the game. Let the sigs and primes drop. I don’t have the collection rewards but am already so tired of mantle, biggio, and Sheffield I’m not interested in completing it ... need some choices.
-
I believe it's coming soon and i predict it will start with a 98/99 Harmon Killebrew for the Moonshot reward. It just makes sense to me then again I could be very wrong.
-
I wouldn't be shocked if the next stage for Affinity is some good cards that we are looking for. Maybe not 99s but they have to be up there after the ones that have been released so far.
-
Yeah the content so far has been great, but it also needs to be with the live series aspect of the game being held up with the season on pause. Lots of people are gonna lose interest if the best cards we’re getting are still MiLB guys.

OR stop making postseason versions of cards arbitrarily lower OVR. I’m looking at you, Ken Griffey Jr.
Sure, you tied records for bombs in a series and hit .371 in the DS and .333 in the CS, but we’re nerfing your stats so we can give you a 99 that people will spend money on later.

hate to say this but with madden releasing and the last of us 2 coming along with other great titles. i feel bad for the consumer that doesnt stick around, SDS does seem to take too long releasing some juice....sad.

I think Stage 3 will be Legends, since we've gotten active and future cards for teams. Now's the time to drop in some Diamond Legends, the only question would be the Florida teams, since they don't have any big ones I can think of.

That would be very nice.

I agree, and giving us another future star card has a pack reward in early/mid june was comical at this point.
SDS can start rolling usable 98-99s now.

We're not even three months into the game cycle yet, so I don't see the really big guns coming until at least August, or even more like September or October. The gradual buildup isn't the problem, but rather the cards in the xp path. Combined with the collection reward cards, it's hard to improve your team without waiting months (although Foster and a few other cards on the market are capable of making the bench and spotstarting, unless you've knocked out the prestige levels). What they should do is eliminate the cards from the xp path, and just make it 5000 stubs for every five levels. I'd say dump the collection rewards also, but I understand they can't really do that as it gives people incentive to do the collections. With the xp reward cards gone, most new cards introduced into the game are desirable as an upgrade, instead of being looked down on as not being good enough. What does it matter if you don't have the elite end-game player, when you have the best player currently at that position.

I get why you did it this way this year SDS. But it’s time. Start giving us some fire.
The slow rollout wasn’t bad, but from here on out, we need the elite players to start making their end game appearances.
I’m losing interest in this game and I’m a lifer. Imagine what the casual players are feeling like? I mean you just had Jacoby Ellsbury as a boss.. lol Time for the best of the best to start making their appearances in my opinion.
No more weak Inning bosses too. It was an exciting thing last year and there was anticipation prior to the Inning programs being dropped. This year, it’s been bad.
Agreed! I got Mantle and company a while ago and none of the hitters dropped can come close to cracking my lineup.
Inning bosses are BOOTY CHEEKS

This would be a horrible, horrible strategy on their part.

Im pretty confident the cards people want are mostly going to be in team Affinity.

No; it would be horrible for them to release them now. They want this game played at least until January or February. They release the top ones now, they'll lose everyone before then as they no longer have anything to look forward to, rather than the one's who are too impatient to wait or who were going to leave anyway when new games drop.

Absolutely! The fact that the best 2 starting pitchers are players we got within a week of the game being released (Kluber and Hal) it seems like they did not plan this out very well.
