I put the OPS of Bellinger (1.131) and Pujols (1.117) up there. Those are the 2 I’d personally recommend over him. My OPS’s with the other guys are

    Arenado: (1.002)
    Miggy : (.915)
    Gehrig : (1.086)

Yes, I haven’t used Foxx, but skepple is a much better hitter than me, so if he’s slugging 1.200 or 1.300 with him, then I’d probably be a good bit lower than that, meaning he’d be right around, if not lower than Bellinger and Pujols are for me.

Now for the other points made that need to be acknowledged

for the value, I don’t think they’ll lose much over the next 2 weeks if you use that to test any of them out. With the stub sale, most Items will stay inflated, especially after Christmas if PSN cards are acquired as gifts.

For the “psychological advantage,” I would say I’m just as scared to see Pujols as Foxx. Their attributes are very similar, and not everyone got Foxx by going 12-0, it just means they have a lot of stubs. So having Foxx really shouldn’t be intimidating for either of those reasons.

If there are any points I missed, please let me know, but I feel I used some decent logic here to counter the claims made.

In the end it’s 100% an opinion and it differs from person to person, but now the arguments have been taken into account.

Imo he's the best right-handed hitter in the game so he's worth every stub for me. I don't think a card should have to be 5× better than the others to justify spending the stubs lol. It's really easy to make stubs this year so I don't think 450k is a very big deal.

Hard to imagine ever blowing that many stubs on Foxx unless I've essentially collected every other card, and really have nothing better to blow 500k on. Jones, Ruth, Sale, Gagne all seem more valuable to me. I have a hard time imagining him being superior to Gehrig or Pujols.

    Here is what we learned

    1. If you have unlimited stubs sure
    2. If you have limited stubs his performance is probably not
    3. We can never really know if the performance is truly worth it or ask a serious question because people hijack threads

He started slow for me... then using him in the event, his average went from .250 to .389 in about 20 games. I guess he mashes on All-Star. We'll see once he gets back to HOF.

He has a very quick bat, which is a great attribute. His power isn't quite as good as Ruth or Teddy, but he hit tons of gaps and has enough speed to get easy extra base hits.

There are so many amazing options at first. Foxx is definitely elite, but I'm not sure how much better he is than other top options. I'm sticking with him for now, and will probably never sell him.

Really wish the original point of this thread played out. Where people who used Foxx presented his OPS compared to other cards. Looks like instead we will just make unsubstantiated statements. If any of you who get him could share your OPS when you get him that would be cool

Nice! Pujols still has gold fielding at third so better to run him there and keep Foxx at first.

Love his bat speed, one of the best swings in the game

Looking forward to it! Prob gonna run Honus, Willie, Belli, Big Jimmie, then Pujols. Those first five should do some big damage.

Would love to hear how Jimmie actually does. One things for certain though. That team will give you a psychological advantage. Lol

It's tough when you try to troll and people don't fall into the trap. Sorry it didn't work out how you intended. But at least you got to get some subtle jabs in that the dev's didn't catch.
