If you got Mantle with no $ spent
-
If you only bought the base $59.99 version, have spent no $ on stubs, but have 99 Mantle:
I am curious how you did so:
- Lots of flipping in the Market
- Ability to play 12+ hours a day due to no work/school
- Other key methods.
-
Played 6 hours a day I think
Never flipped
And played ton of Showdown
-
You play showdowns until you get every TA program to 100%. All the rewards will be plenty to knock out the collections and then some.
-
Showdown grinding. Tons of Showdown grinding.
-
I fall into this category and I just got to Mantle a couple days ago. I’ve played 3-4 hours a day since release. I completed every program, did quite a few showdowns. I sold every item I possibly could. I didn’t bother with flipping, I’d rather be playing the game so it can be done in time.

- I flipped some cards, but that wasn't going as easy as it has in other years. The best way this year had been flipping smaller cards multiple times and that takes way to long for my attention span. Another method is buy up a ton of silver and golds and wait till the next stage of TA starts and make a solid profit that way. That requires the stubs and patience sine we don't have a date for stage 3.
- Showdown grinding if you can beat them is a basically free stubs, packs, and TA points, which is more stubs and packs. You've gotta hope you get lucky and pull some diamonds.
- Playing events is probably a better use of time than playing RS. There's a lot more packs, stubs, and diamond cards you can sell. If you don't win games and get cards quick, hold onto those cards from the event till later when the event is over and sell them at a higher value. Again, patience required.
- Get to 300 stars as fast as you can and sell the highest price inning boss. If it takes you a full 25-30 days to get there, wait till the next inning is about to start or starts and people will pay more for those bosses than they did if you get them around 18-20-days in.
- Get lucky in packs. This was honestly my method this year. I did all the teams to 30 buying golds and under. Then I bought packs and flipped the contents until I got lucky with a diamond. I focused on collecting diamonds from the AL first and NL second, even if I pulled a big time card like Arenado or Belinger. I got SUPER lucky and pulled Trout twice, Cole once, and Verlander 3 or 4 times. I also pulled numerous NL diamonds. Don't waste your stubs on Headliner packs either. Stick with Show packs if you're going to do packs.
Honestly though, now that they lowered the difficulty on Stage 1 Showdowns, there's no reason not to just grind Showdowns. Costs 1k, and if you win most of the missions and beat all the bosses you'll make stubs, plus get a guaranteed silver pack and show pack. Add in the vouchers for TA points and you're raking in the stubs. It'll take time, but unless you get lucky in packs or buy stubs, it's going to take time.

Working about 70 hours a week. No time to play + no time to flip = no Mickey, no mouse, no Mantle for me.
-
You all play way more than me! 3 hours on weekends and 1-3 hours during the week combined for me

How come you never play online? You are only 0-1 in ranked
-
I’m only verlander away from mantle so I think I count here, but haven’t flipped all year, I made 800k stubs investing in rookie Machado and sold when the rookie collection came out
-
I did all of the events and made WS, and I would always sell every reward as well as every duplicate card I would get.

You used the retro mode glitch...Why cheat?
-
I did it with the $80 version. Playing lots, replaying moments taking pitches only (while I work/adult), card flipping, not buying packs, luck with my free packs
-
I did it by pulling Trout 4 times. Beyond that my life never slowed down, actually started working more. Played some showdown but mostly invested my stubs and later resold for massive profit.

How many packs did you have to buy with stubs to get four Trout pulls?
-
#4 your a liar lol
-
You should include:
- Extreme free pack luck.

I did the bulk of it through flipping. Same last year to get Mays. I checked orders on the site during breaks at work and at home my PS4 is on its own monitor right next to the tv. So I’d almost always have the app open while I was home and I’d be flipping while watching Netflix or live sports when those still existed. I need a life.
Wish I’d played more showdown early on this year while I was working on the collection. After I got Mantle I focused offline efforts on playing showdown and doing the exchanges for TAs. I ended up pulling a bunch of live series diamonds in the TA packs.

2 were free packs. In total I've ripped maybe 500-600.
