No they haven't. Same with many game companies, due to the protests

Sony has gone quite as they said in their statement it's not a time to celebrate so likely this is broad thing for all division of Sony. I think the final reveals for Ducks on the Pond have also been stopped as Atrin said he will not be preview the card due to reasons beyond his control so like SDS pulled the plug on reveals.

A little dramatic. Are they looting? Why cant the twitter guy upload a tweet? Gives people something to look forward to and gives their minds a break from current affairs.

Totally agree, the best content creators are giving content right now because it’s what people need to take their minds off of everything bad happening in the world

This is a direct quote from the Playstation Twitter account.

"While we understand gamers worldwide are excited to see PS5 games, we do not feel that right now is the time for celebration and for now, we want to stand back and allow more important voices to be heard."

It's not that the Twitter guy is looting, so he is too busy to tweet. This was a clear directive from higher up to allow the focus of attention on a serious issue. The only negative is that many companies or people in power are jumping on the bandwagon for selfish reasons in order to improve their own image.

I may be a white guy who has cop family members, but I'm not blind. Police brutality is real. People of color are discriminated against. It doesn't take much effort to find dozens of videos of white police officers beating the hell out of peaceful protestors and journalists. Police officers are not above the law and need to be held accountable for their actions. They shouldn't get off with a slap on the wrist and a paid vacation for blatant abuse of power. Change needs to happen. Enough is enough.

I honestly can't believe anyone would have the audacity to whine about a lack of information about a video game because a company is attempting to show solidarity with a downtrodden group of people. It's [censored] embarrassing, and you should all be better than that.

Lol take your white guilt somewhere else. If they want to cut back in a time for "more important voices to be heard" then they should start with their stub sales and flash packs. Wait, that's about money though. Got it, loud and clear!

Empathy does not equal white guilt. You have problems. Get help.

PS5 doesn't go on sale for another four or five months they will have plenty of time to market that and everybody in the world is waiting for that to drop. Stub sales and flash packs are right now during this entire sh!tshow. there's literally no comparison as usual you are just trolling. Please no more selfies. We have seen enough.

    Meh.

People who use Twitter for sports and game related information aren't bothering to follow anything protest or political wise.

Most of them are not going to simply start scrolling through the trending page and looking at protest stuff because there's no updates from Sony.

I can see it though for people who are politically minded and also may be participating in the protest.

Did you seriously just claim that people who follow sports and video games don't care about the protests? I hope none of them follow Tim Anderson or Lucas Giolito. They might see something posted that they don't care about.

Maybe you don't care, but that is a ridiculous generalization.

It's funny. I never thought that supporting people who are being beaten and murdered in public would be a "hot take". I guess protesting or supporting those protesting is fine as long as it doesn't interfere with info on the latest diamond dynasty cards. Gotta know what new shiny card you're going to be lining out with ASAP.

    Meh.

I completely support the issues going on, but I am just curious when sony thinks it will be an appropriate time to break the social media silence. I'm not asking them to, but genuinely wonder how you would make this determination?
