Why dashboard? Why couldnt you just quit?
Because I felt like it....and I don't cry about it when it happens to me.
You cried about it.. by coming on here after 20 pitches, starting a thread with that title..
Really?
That's funny, because I wrote it in its entirety with a smile on my face. I thought the experience was hilarious.
Nice try though, next.
Legit question. Was this on Allstar?
Legit question, have you used him yet?
Not yet. Will tomorrow. Every year he's been in the game though I have.
Not gonna answer my question?
Yeah, allstar...not that hard to look up someone's RS rating.
So if you pick him up and get lit up, and are able to relate more to this thread, are you willing to share your experience? Doubt it. And if you do well with him, you may still be able to relate to this thread knowing that your opponent was just not up to par.
Just curious as to why you are so aggressive? There is a big difference in the effectiveness of a pitcher from allstar to hof. Everyone gets lit up in all-star so the true test for a pitcher is hof+
I consider myself to be a good sport........

Hey wockret, I didn't know you had cheerleaders on the side. Look, he even wore his lipstick and brought his pom poms, Gooooo ---- woooccckkkrreett!!!
Dude, I don’t pretend to be some elite player in this game. I come here for the interactions. Considering that you are being hyper aggressive over anyone who says something against you.....
I play Conquest and recently dabbled in Showdowns, most important (to me) is that I enjoy what I do.
It must truly suck to try to have an epeen war with someone who doesn’t give a [censored] about how well they play. If I play you in a friendly, I will probably lose. I have no shame in admitting that. I have been playing video games for 40 years and never once have I cared about winning or losing. I do it for fun and I have no reason to think differently

You really should be charging me rent for how much time I am in your head.
Next time you shoot your shot, don’t miss

I just bought him and tried him out at 760ish, opponent was 800’s. My opponent was an elite hitter , ws player in 800’s. He lit saber up 4 runs first inning nearly batted around. I scored 3 the next inning, but no matter who I put in he lit up. He got ahead 8-4 by the 3rd, and was bunt dancing like crazy , pausing constantly, holding r2 , time out even at bat (in game). I NEVER play this late because I play better in the day, and because you run into less troll monsters. So I decided to say F it and quit.
Anyway I sold sab immediately , at no loss. Even though this guy was really good at hitting, I just didn’t feel like I had any out pitches , or much to deceive with. It’s either really slow w not much movement, or a FB that’s not getting past anyone good. I won’t be using the card again honestly, I don’t like feeling like I can’t throw anything w a card. He only has 4 pitches and 3 are slow. Seems to easy to sit and destroy. I could only get through one inning w him or the game was lost for sure, so my review is similar to OP’s in that it’s limited, was on hof however and I got shelled

I like Saberhagen personally. His delivery is sort of deceptive, making it harder to read that fastball when it comes in despite the mid 90s velocity. His control is where he shines. If you can keep your opponent guessing which pitch is coming for the entire duration of the game, he will be dominant. I do second what others said before though, All-Star is not a good testing ground for pitchers. Timing 95/96mph on HOF and Legend is way more challenging than it is on AS. And that's when everything else opens up and your opponent starts guessing and flailing.

For me, it's the forced pitches down the middle of the plate that's more frustrating than anything. And with Sabe, it feels like it's magnified 10x more because of pitch selection/speed. I picked him up again, to give him a second chance and did better with him, but only because my opponent wasn't as good as the first person I faced with him.
I feel like whether it's all star or HOF, if you're facing a good opponent that hits well, you might be in for a long day is all I'm saying. At least you've used him, unlike all these other guys that haven't touched him yet and want to talk all this trash to me...I think it's hilarious.

I hear you, at the end of the day it doesn't really matter who's on the mound when you're facing a good player though. They will all get lit up at some point, even Kluber and Hal get smacked around every now and then.
But for example, lots of people use Graterol because he throws gas. But he is really hard to control and imo fairly easy to read. So a lot of pitches that you try to nibble on the corners with him will end up being balls where you'll eventually have to challenge, or they'll be right down the middle where it'll most likely be crushed. So if for example I would have to choose between a guy like Graterol (who seems to be a popular pick in all divisions) and Saberhagen, I'm definitely rolling with Saberhagen and just accept the fact that I will give up runs when I face a good player.

I have to respectfully disagree.
I've had pretty good success with Nate Pearson even against good players (WS players when I was in the 700's), as well as MacKenzie Gore. But I won't feel as confident with Sabe against other good players. I guess it just really comes down to who you're good with or not because some people might be good with a certain player, whereas others for whatever reason just can't do as good with that same player.

Yeah i don't really care either except that idk. it just feels like it would take longer to dashboard than to just quit the game. A win is a win for me I would rather you quit than play it out tbh haha

I would never judge a pitcher on all star... doubt I would ever dashboard because of a pitcher either..
I understand that sentiment but sadly some of us don't have a choice because that's the division we live in for 90% of the time. It seems very weird that SDS has created a mode in which certain cards are only viable in certain divisions.
Maybe other games do this but I've not experience that in madden (the only other game I play). What's good in easier difficulty is also good in harder difficulty.

Are scores in madden the same going from easy difficulty to harder? Or is it easier to rack up TDs in lower difficulty settings?

I faced him yesterday, he's batting practice

Is this a tactic to lower his value on the market?

It's pretty much the same across the board IMO. Game/slider difficulty doesn't change as you move up/down the mountain. Competition is about the only variable and even that can be pretty random.
There are not different sliders/difficulty for rookie mode and legend mode in MUT seasons (RS equivalent) which make cards viable throughout (until a newer one comes out lol)

So how does say a rookie mode feel different than a hard mode when you're getting the same amount of 1st downs, etc.?
Just curious -

Just curiousCompetition is the only differential. Competition becomes more difficult the higher up you go. I can usually make it to "superbowl" in the span of a couple hours on rookie mode. Not true in Legend mode

I’m gonna tell you the same thing I told the guy ranting after 1 start with May a couple days ago....You have to allow 3-5 outings before passing judgement like this. The guy you’re playing could have just been a great hitter - It happens - Sometimes you just run into someone that can put whatever you throw them into the stands. You could easily start him again & pitch a 2 hitter against someone else and then follow that up with two more good outings. All of a sudden you’re 4-1 with him. At that point I think you’d consider him pretty good. Just be patient man & Give guys an honest chance.

That's hilarious. Calling me a troll and a child.
The same guy that has dashboarded probably half of his losses on RS is talking trash to me. LMAO. You didn't know we could check people's game history? Or you just thought you weren't going to be exposed?
You'll stick out 9 innings if there's scoring on both sides and the game is close, but if there's a gap in scoring where you're losing, or no scoring at all and you figure you can't hit your opponent's pitching, you're outta there dashboarding...LMAO. I knew you were a hypocrite.
